Emily Miller, having navigated the workplace for so long, was certainly no pushover. While inwardly frustrated at the trouble these two had brought her, she quickly sprang into action to resolve the problem.
She shot a glance at her subordinates, signaling them to take Ria Chapman away. Then, Emily entered the CEO Office.
Inside the office, Vera Wave had already packed her bag and a few office supplies into a small cardboard box.
"Miss Wave, what are you doing?"
"I'm truly sorry, Emily!" Vera said, offering an apologetic smile. "I've caused you all so much trouble, I really am. I take full responsibility for this incident and will bear all the consequences. I'll resign voluntarily."
Vera was not the type to shirk responsibility. Since she was the one who had hit someone, she wouldn't run away. Causing trouble for others simply wasn't in her nature.
