Vera Wave froze for two seconds, attempting to retract her arm, but the man's voice echoed at the side of her face.
"Hold me while you sleep!"
After all this time, her arm was still cold. Was this girl a cold-blooded creature?
Helplessly, Vera Wave wrapped her arm around his neck, pressing against his warm skin without hesitation.
She had to say, holding him like this was indeed warm. A natural hot-water bottle! It'd be such a waste not to use him. Vera Wave tucked her legs up, pressing her cold feet against his leg.
After a while, seeing that the man did not seem to be angry, she went further and pressed her other foot against him.
Startled by her cold feet, Kris Cooper frowned, moved his palm, and covered her ice-cold feet.
Vera Wave's heart tightened. Had she angered him? Was he going to throw her out?!
However, to her surprise, Kris Cooper didn't throw her out. Instead, he covered her cold feet with his warm palm.
Feeling his action, Vera Wave was puzzled.
