Chapter Four
For several days in a row, Aurelia Wood and Kevin Gregory were very happy. They were like a couple newly in love, or a pair of newlyweds. Spending time together all day, they never grew tired of each other, almost needing to be glued together even when cooking. Especially Kevin, who was practically inseparable.
Wherever Aurelia went, he watched from the side, as if afraid she would run away.
During the day, they took walks together around the neighborhood, with him wrapping his arms around her as they strolled. After dinner in the evenings, they'd cuddle on the sofa watching TV. During these moments, Kevin always liked to lie down with his head resting on Aurelia's lap or let her lean against his shoulder.
Even when they slept, he loved to hold her tightly, as if only this way could he feel she truly stayed by his side.
Good days are always a bit short-lived. One afternoon, Aurelia suddenly forgot where she had put her phone.
