Chapter Five
Café.
When Aurelia arrived, Kevin's mother was already waiting.
On her way here, she had prepared herself for what Kevin's mother might say.
Aurelia Wood sat down, polite as ever, "Ma'am."
Kevin's mother took a gentle sip of her coffee and looked out the window, "The winters here are a bit colder than where we're from. Our Kevin most fears the cold."
Then she gave a bitter smile, "Do you know, for you, she doesn't even care about the company in C City? Are you planning to hide here forever? You should understand, Kevin has the potential to go much further. Do you want him to spend his whole life playing in a place like this with you?"
Aurelia smiled, "I have no plans to stay here long term, and I believe Kevin doesn't either. I'm just here to relax."
"Relax? Do you know the cost my son has to pay for your relaxation?"
Kevin's mother's questioning froze the smile on Aurelia's lips, turning it rigid.
