He looked at her like a big gray wolf eyeing its prey, with a teasing smile.
That gaze, intense as it was, made her heart tremble slightly.
As if, with one careless move, she would fall into the inescapable net he had laid.
Aurelia pretended not to understand anything, forced a smile on her face, and said, "How could I let you feel wronged? I'll sleep on the sofa."
She laughed heartily, grabbed the bread, and devoured it.
