He always manages to appear when she needs him the most!
What if she could have met him earlier.
Perhaps, they really have a chance?
Aurelia Wood's mind was a mess from the fever; she was severely ill, and in her daze, she muttered, "It's so cold outside, and there's no blanket. How can you sleep outside? Just stay here."
Not long after she spoke, he instinctively lay down beside her, not minding the smell of sweat all over her, cuddling under the same blanket, and even went excessively by reaching out to hold her.
Aurelia maintained a sliver of sanity, using her hand to push against his face, "Don't be too close to me."
She didn't have the strength to push him away; if at this moment, he wanted to do something to her, she had no strength at all to resist, but apart from holding her tight, he did nothing.
"I'm cold. Holding like this doesn't feel cold."
As he spoke, he tightened his grip a bit.
