Adam wouldn't call himself a psychologist or a manipulator who could easily read people's minds, but he was certain he could tell if the person in front of him was lying when it came to battle.
All he needed was to see the flame in the eyes of the person in front of him. It didn't matter if it was a dark and gloomy flame, or a bright and noble one. The main thing was that it was there, not a detached coldness, devoid of emotion.
It was precisely that kind of flame Adam saw in Farla's eyes that made him chuckle.
"I see. It's nice to know that even after hundreds of years, you can still retain your emotions."
"Yes." Farla nodded. "If it were up to me, I would go and kill that Baron, for all the humans who have fallen because of him. However, I am not strong enough for that, and no one would allow me to go to such distant parts of the Tarnished Lands."
