The Yan Family, head of the Nine Gates of Huaxia, with industries spread across all regions, was a very large family.
Upon learning that his son had been murdered, Yan Chen's father was overcome with grief and let out a mournful howl to the sky. That was his own flesh and blood, now dead, and he was understandably filled with rage. After an investigation, it was discovered that his son's killer was Chu Hao, a finding that filled him with both wariness and hatred. The Yan Family was not ignorant of Chu Hao's strength. That young man was a miraculous existence; consequently, many families among the Nine Gates of Huaxia had already instructed their members not to approach Anli City or provoke him. Yet, his own son was still dead. Yan Chen's father's eyes were bloodshot. Though he knew of his son's entanglements with Chu Hao, with his son now dead, he was driven solely by a desire for revenge.
