The chase led straight out of the city. Taoist Min Ran was filled with anxiety; his True Qi was nearly depleted, and even his prepared earth escape charms were almost gone.
Chu Hao was also exhausted from the pursuit, cursing, "Rodent, you really can run! I don't believe you can keep it up until dawn!"
Min Ran felt bitter, so much so that he wanted to cry. He even missed the peaceful days on Mount Taiding, so unlike this current debacle.
A while later, they had truly entered the deep, dark forest. Chu Hao suddenly realized that many eyes were watching him.
Utilizing his skills, Chu Hao could see clearly even in the darkness. He immediately noticed various animals staring at him.
All sorts of creatures: pangolins, foxes, stray dogs, and even some owls. In the pitch-black night, their eyes looked incredibly eerie.
Chu Hao had a bad premonition. The presence of these animals was too abnormal; he could even feel a whiff of Monster Qi.
HISS!
