Although it was just a moment, that scene indeed resembled an explosion.
The scattered light beams were like a meteor shower streaking across the night sky, leaving a brilliant trail before quickly vanishing into the darkness. The curse, once severed by the light, writhed like some kind of creature, reconnecting and beginning its proliferative operations anew.
The brief flash of light seemed like the world's final struggle; after the great eruption, all fell silent once more.
