"Come on, Izuku, it isn't that bad."
"But everyone has a quirk except me," A four year old Izuku complained as he and his mon sat on the couch in the living room of their apartment.
It wasn't fair, everyone in his class was starting to get their quirks, even his best friend Katsuki or as he likes to call him, Kacchan had an explosion quirk while he doesn't have one yet.
This wasn't fair.
He was at the age where he gets a quirk like all the other kids but his quirk hasn't come yet.
How long was he supposed to wait for his quirk to come?
Not only that but what kind of quirk will it be?
Will it be a water quirk or an explosion quirk like Kacchan?
He didn't know and that just got him more excited.
Wait, maybe it will be like All Might's power, that would be really cool.
But probably not as strong as All Might's but it would be so cool.
He was getting excited just thinking about what quirk he was going to get that he didn't notice his mom getting up from the couch and walking to the kitchen.
"Your quirk will come, Izuku," Inko, his mom said while walking to the kitchen with a smile. "You just need to be patient."
"But that's so boring," Izuku wined in frustration with a pout. "I want to have a quirk like Kacchan and everyone in my class."
Turning his head, Izuku watched his mom start to cook before he thought of something.
"Hey mom," Izuku said gently with a worried look on his face. "Who was my daddy?"
*Thud*
He looked to see his mom dropping a pan on the ground before she turned to him in shock.
"W-Where did this come from?" Inko asked gently, sounding worried while looking at her son in shock.
Izuku looked down with a worried look on his face and muttered gently "Well, you never talk about him before and I've never seen pictures of him before."
Slowly turning his head, Izuku saw pictures of only him and his mom but not his dad.
He knew he got his looks from his mommy but he doesn't know who his birth dad is.
Plus, his mom never talks about him or brings him up before and he didn't know why.
He has been wanting to ask his mom about it since she never brought it up until now.
He watched as his mom was still in shock before she shook her head and said gently "I'm sorry Izuku but I can't tell you about your father right now."
"O-Ok," Izuku said gently, sounding worried and scared. "Is he a bad guy?"
"No," Inko said gently with a worried look on her face. "It's just not easy for mommy to talk about him since I've only met him one and only time."
Izuku gave a small nod but had a worried look on his face.
He wanted to ask more but didn't as he didn't want to make mommy upset.
With a nod, Inko picked up the pan off the ground and started to get back to cooking dinner.
Slowly looking down, Izuku couldn't help but feel worried.
He wanted to know who his father was since his mom didn't want to talk about it or show any pictures but didn't know where to start.
But more importantly, when is he going to get his quirk?
His friends have a quirk, Kacchan has a quirk but he doesn't have a quirk.
This was so unfair.
How can his quirk activate or work?
Does he need to save someone like All Might?
Ïf he did something like that then his mom would get mad since he is four years old.
But how can he get his quirk?
He didn't know and that made him get frustrated as he crossed his arms with a pout.
"Hey mom," Izuku whispered with a pout.
"Yes honey?" Inko asked from the kitchen not to turn to see her son look down with a frustrated look and gave a pout.
"Do you think I'll ever have a quirk?" Izuku asked gently, making Inko freeze in place before she turned to see him slowly look down, making her start to get worried.
She didn't want to lie to her son but she didn't want to act like it would magically happen and his quirk would come like that.
"I-I don't know," Inko said honestly before she turned to the clook to see it was 3:00 making her give a small sigh.
She knew it was too early to cook dinner but she thought that now was a good time for dinner since there wasn't much to do right now.
Turning to her son, Inko couldn't help but give a small smile and said gently "Izuku, would you like to go to the park for a little while? It's a little early for me to cook dinner so we have time to go to the park and you can spend time with your friends."
"Ok," Izuku muttered before he got up from the couch and slowly walked to the front door.
With a worried look on her face, Inko walked to the door and opened it before she and Izuku walked out of their apartment and to the park.
Izuku walked with his mom with a pout.
He didn't know why but the thought of him never having a quirk made him anxious but also afraid.
What will his friends think if he never has a quirk?
He knows that Kacchan bullies him and his school laughs at him for not having a quirk yet but he just couldn't help but feel scared about this.
He really wanted a quirk so bad that he would die for one but if it never came then he didn't know what to think.
He just didn't want to be an outcast but he also wanted to be a hero like All Might and save people with a smile.
Yeah, that was why he wanted a quirk really badly.
He wanted to get a quirk and be a hero like All Might and save people.

"Agh!"
Shaking his head from his thoughts, Izuku turned to see an explosion go off sending a girl with short brown hair wearing a pink shirt and green skirt falling backwards to the ground making him start to get worried.
What was going on?
W-Why did Kacchan do that?
Letting go of his mommy's hand, Izuku ran up to the girl who was slowly sitting up with tears in her eyes.
"That was mean," The girl with short brown hair said with a sniff.
"Eh?! How was that mean? You were the villain and I'm the hero," Katsuki said with a grin before he looked at the girl in anger. "Now, you will learn your place like a good villain and learn who is going to be the next number one hero."
The girl couldn't help but shake in fear before she and Katsuki saw Izuku run in between them with a scared look on his face.
"S-Stop it, K-Kacchan," Izuku muttered, sounding scared before he gulped down his fears and looked to Kacchan whose eyes widened in shock before it turned into a hateful glare.
"What are you doing here, Deku?" Katsuki asked with a hateful glare in anger. "You're nothing but a worthless quirkless freak!"
Izuku could feel his body freeze in place before he gave a nervous gulp and stood in front of the girl who looked at him in shock.
"I-I'm not going to let you hurt her," Izuku said, his body shaking betraying the confidence in his voice. "S-She didn't do anything wrong and you hurt her out of nowhere."
"Yeah right," Katsuki said with a scoff. "We were playing heroes and villains and she thinks she can be a hero but there's only one hero and that's me!"
Izuku steeled his nerves and looked at Kacchan with a small glare that made Kacchan glare back at him before he gave a hysterical laugh.
"Really? What are you going to do, Deku?" Katsuki asked with a laugh before he turned to see his two friends walk up to him, making Izuku gulp in worry. "You hear that? Quirkless little Deku wants to be a hero."
"Yeah," One of Katsuki's friends, the boy with the wings said with a chuckle. "Quirkless Deku thinks he can be a hero when he's a nobody."
"Yeah," The other one of Katsuki's friends, the boy who can stretch his fingers said with a chuckle. "He's nothing but a quirkless loser."
"N-No, he's n-not," The little girl behind Izuku said before she got up and ran up to Izuku with a worried look on her face. "Please, let's go and tell my parents before something else happens."
"I," Izuku started to say before he turned to see the worried look on the girl's face making his eyes widen in shock before he gave a small nod and followed the girl who turned and started to run to her mommy.
"Your not going anywhere, Deku!" Bakugo shouted in anger before he ran to Deku and the girl.
"Don't worry, my mommy will help us with bul-Ahh!" The girl started to say before the boy with the wings flew up and grabbed her and flew her in the sky leaving a shocked Izuku.
"Hey, let me go!" The girl shouted with tears in her eyes.
"Heh-heh-heh, let's see if quirkless Deku can save you now," The boy with the wings said with a chuckle before he looked down to see Deku looking up at them in shock and worry.
Izuku looked to see one of Bakugo's friends fly in the sky with the girl in his hands, making him start to get worried.
"Deku!"
Turning around, Izuku saw Bakugo glaring hateful daggers at him with his hands popping small explosions making him gulp in fear.
"What are you going to do, Deku?!" Bakugo asked with a snearl. "Try and be a hero? Ha! You're no hero, you're nothing but a quirkless freak!"
Izuku tried to say something but no words came out as he looked down with his fists slowly clenched.
He wanted to do something and stop Bakugo and his friends but he didn't know how.
It wasn't just that Bakugo had a quirk and he didn't.
It was the fact that ever since Bakugo got his quirk, people praised Bakugo with his quirk while everyone started bullying him and ignored him because he was quirkless.
The reason he wanted a quirk is because if he had a quirk then maybe people would stop bullying him and his friend would care about him again, but right now, that didn't matter.
He needed to do something or the girl that one of Kacchan's friends has will drop her and will get hurt.
But no matter what he does, nothing will ever change.
Bakugo will be getting the praise and nobody would care about him and that made his anger start to grow.
Slowly clenching his fists until his knuckles turned white, Izuku slowly looked up and glared at Bakugo whose eyes widened in shock before he glared back at him.
"What you got something to say, quirkless freak?" Bakugo asked with a growl before he looked up to his friend with the wings. "Then let's see what you can do for a quirkless freak, drop her!"
Eyes widened in shock, Izuku looked up to see the wing boy giving a chuckle before he let the girl go and let her free fall, making the girl scream in worry.
N-No...
H-He can do this.
He can save her and-,
"Agh!"
Izuku's thoughts were cut off when Katsuki ran up and used his explosion on him, making him fall backwards to the ground.
Wincing in pain, Izuku slowly sat up from the ground and...
*Thud*
His mind stopped when he turned to see the girl hit the grass with her right arm on her back and her left leg dislocated making him run up to the girl.
"Ow!" The girl screamed in pain and agony with tears in her eyes making Izuku stop and look on in shock and horror.
H-He couldn't save her.
H-He wanted to save someone but he couldn't do that and now a girl got hurt because of him.
And it was...
It was...
K-Kacchan's fault.
Looking down, Izuku could feel his fists clench so hard that they started to turn white but he started to feel... something else.
The girl slowly turned to Izuku with tears in her eyes and whispered "G-Go and find my mommy."
"B-But," Izuku muttered gently with his teeth clenched in anger before he turned to see Kachhan and his two friends walk and fly up to them, making his anger start to grow.
"Awe, what's wrong Deku, I thought you were going to be a hero," Bakugo taunted with a grin with a laugh. "You couldn't save people even if you tried."
"S-Shut up," Izuku growled out with tears in his eyes.
He tried to keep his anger down but after seeing a girl get hurt because of Kacchan and his two friends, it just didn't feel right.
It's not what All Might would do and that just made his anger start to grow even more.
He wanted to be a hero like All Might and save people with a smile but what Kacchan just did, that wasn't what a hero does, it's what a villain does.
Hurting someone who didn't deserve it isn't what a hero does and it's not what All Might would do.
And that just made his anger start to grow even more but while he felt his anger grow, he began to feel something in his knuckles start to happen.
"W-What the hell?" Katsuki asked in shock before it turned into a snearl.
The girl looked to Izuku and saw what was happening, making her eyes slowly widen in shock and amazement.
Three metal claws slowly came out of both of Izuku's knuckles with a glaring Izuku who looked to Kacchan in anger.
"W-What the hell?" Katsuki asked Izuku in shock before it turned into a snearl. "Don't you dare look down on me, Deku!"
It all happened so fast for Izuku and the girl to process it.
Katsuki ran up to Izuku and was about to use his right hand that was popping an explosion when Izuku slashed his right metal claw at his face making him scream in pain and agony as blood slowly started to fall from his left cheek.
Izuku's eyes slowly widened in shock and horror at what he did as he saw a three claw mark on Katsuki's left cheek that was dripping blood before he slowly looked down to see his red blood claw in shock and horror.
"Y-You damn freak!"
Looking up, Izuku saw Bakugo was about to use his other hand to attack before, on instinct, shoved both his metal claws through Kacchan's chest making Kacchan's eyes slowly widen in shock and horror while Izuku's glared hateful daggers at him before his eyes slowly widen in horror at what he had just down.
Time slowed down between Izuku, Kacchan, and the girl who looked at what just happened in shock and horror.
Slowly and gently pulling his metal claws out of Katsuki's stomach, Izuku watched in horror as Katsuki took a few steps back with his stomach bleeding as red blood slowly dropped and hit the ground.
He watched as Katsuki looked at him with a look of horror before he slowly fell to his knees and fell backwards to the ground.
"Katsuki!"
It was like a blur for Izuku who watched as Mitsuki ran up with a worried look on her face before he slowly looked down at his metal claws that were covered in blood before looking back up to see Mitsuki teary eyes as she grabbed her phone and started to call for the metics.
Slowly turning his head, Izuku saw the girl he was trying to save look at him with a look of shock and horror.
B-But h-he was trying to save her, like All Might did, r-right?
He watched as the girl's mother ran up and hugged her while making sure she was ok.
All Izuku could do right now was look down and stare at his new metal claws that were covered in blood, Kacchan's blood, before slowly went back in his hands like nothing happened.
And Izuku, all he could do was look up to see Mitsuki pick up her bleeding son with a small tear coming down his face while his mom ran up and hugged him tightly.
H-He wanted to be a hero, r-right?
H-Heroes are supposed to save people, r-right?
Then why, why doesn't he feel like a hero?
Why doesn he feel like... a villain?
Izuku sat down on a chair in the hospital with his mom while looking down to the ground with a worried look on his face.
H-He didn't mean to do that.
He didn't mean to use his quirk to kill Kacchan.
He was just trying to help the girl who was hurt thanks to Kacchan and his friends who were hurting her.
H-He didn't mean it. H-He didn't...
"Mrs. Midoriya."
Izuku's thoughts were cut off when he and his mommy turned to see the doctor walk in the room and sat down in a chair in front of them making Izuku give a nervous gulp in worry.
"Dr. Tsubasa, how is Katsuki?" Inko asked gently with a worried look on her face.
"We have doctors that have healing quirks and they assured me that Katsuki will live but he will have scars on his chest and cheek where your son struck him earlier," Dr. Tsubasa said reassurance which made Izuku flinch uncomfortably which didn't go unnoticed by Inko who turned to her son in worry.
"Now, about your son's quirk," Dr. Tsubasa said before he, Inko, and a worried and scared Izuku turned to see a skin graph where they saw metal claws in Izuku's knuckles making Izuku gulp in worry and fear.
"It appears that your son has developed metal claws from his hands and not only that."
Izuku turned to see the doctor grab a knife and grab his right arm before he made a small cut that made him winch in pain.
"Doctor, what are you," Inko started to say in worry before she, Izuku, and Dr. Tsubasa watched as the cut on Izuku's hand began to heal and regenerate itself like it never happened making her and Izuku's eyes widen in shock and amazement.
"Healing regeneration," Dr. Tsubasa said, sounding shocked and amazed as Inko and Izuku before turning to Inko who had a shocked look on her face. "Your son has the accelerated healing process that enables him to regenerate damaged or destroyed tissue with far greater efficiency than that of a normal human like you or me."
"I-I can't believe it," Inko whispered in shock and amazement. "B-But will that stop his aging?"
"I cannot say," Dr. Tsubasa said honestly while shaking his head. "All that I can do is if this does stop your son's aging then you should spend ever minute you have with him. But on the bright side is that he's still young right now and you have plenty of time before something like that happens."
Inko gave a small nod with a worried look on her face.
"T-Thank you, doctor," Inko said gently with a nod before she remembered something. "What about that girl that my son tried to help? What about her and her family?"
"Yes," Dr. Tsubasa said with a nod remembering the girl and her family. "Don't worry, the girl will be fine, just some casts on her right arm and left leg for a few days and she will be fine."
Inko breathed a sigh in relief before she turned to see Izuku look down with a scared look making her start to get worried.
"Izuku," Inko whispered softly with a worried look on her face.
She could tell that Izuku was blaming himself for what happened back at the park but she didn't blame him for it.
From what those two boys said and Mitsuki forcing them to tell them the truth, Inko and Katsuki's parents found out that Katsuki and his friends were hurt the girl whose named Ochako and Izuku claws came out from trying to protect her but Katsuki tried to attack Izuku when the incident happened and immediately after that, they all gone to the hospital where Katsuki was still in surgery and Inko and Izuku gone to see what those claws from Izuku was.
Come to find out, they were Izuku's quirk, along with healing regeneration.
To be honest, Inko was amazed and worried for Izuku who is probably blaming himself for what happened.
She didn't blame Izuku but no matter what she says, Izuku would still blame himself for what happened back at the park.
Silence came into the room with Izuku looking down to the ground and Inko looking at her son in worry.
When they got home, Izuku was in his room while Inko looked at the door to her son's room in worry.
Meanwhile, in the room, Izuku watched a video on the computer of All Might saving people with a smile while tears were coming down his eyes.
"It's fine now. Why? Because I am here."
H-He didn't mean to hurt Kacchan b-but he did and that scared him.
He wanted to quirk so badly but when he got it, he hurt people with it.
He hurt Kacchan, he could still see the blood that was on his claws and that made him start to cry even more.
H-He wanted to be a hero like All Might but if he hurt someone like Kacchan then doesn't that make him a villain? He didn't know and that scared him the most.
"I-Izuku, are you ok, sweetheart?"
Hearing his mommy voice, Izuku slowly turned his head to see his mommy opening the door and walking in the room to see her crying son making her start to get worried.
"M-Mommy, d-do y-you think I could be a hero like All Might?" Izuku asked gently with tears coming down his face while pointing to All Might on the screen in front of him.
Inko couldn't take it anymore as she ran up and hugged her son with tears in her eyes.
"I'm sorry Izuku, I'm so sorry," Inko whispered hesitantly with tears in her eyes. "I'm so sorry."
"N-No mom, that's not what I wanted to say. I know you mean well but that's not what I wanted you to say... On that day my life changed forever and not in a good way, not until..."
