Chapter 1 - Alex no demon storm arc chapter 1

It had been almost two days since everyone took off in the jet toward the Lightning Nation.

Now, at midday—12 o'clock in the afternoon—the sun shone brightly over the endless sky.

Inside the jet, the atmosphere was lively. Everyone talked, laughed, and joked as the hours dragged by.

Alex, slumped in his seat with tired eyes, groaned loudly.

"Ughhh… come on. How long is this going to take? It's just a few continents away… isn't it?"

Serena, stretching her arms lazily, shot him a glare.

"Stop being a baby. The Lightning Nation is far, so pull yourself together. We'll be there soon."

Sukuna snickered and replied to her,

"Well, it can't be helped. This jet has been flying for hours. We should be arriving any moment now."

Kinto, bored out of his mind, exhaled a long sigh.

"We left the city twenty hours ago. Honestly, I'm surprised this place is still lively even though half of us are dying of boredom."

From the cockpit laboratory, Sughi's voice echoed through the speakers.

"Alright, kids, we're here. If you look out the window, you'll see the Lightning Country.

And try not to be too shocked by how advanced it looks."

Alex and Raquel leaned over the window, eyes widening as towering skyscrapers and bright neon circuitry traced through the massive city below.

"Woah…" Alex muttered.

Raquel pressed her face closer. "It looks so cool!"

Deo nodded to himself, impressed.

Wow… the tech in this place looks insane. This is actually cool.

Son, Baraka, Runo, Mori, Serena, and Sukuna were equally stunned. Serena smirked.

"This is nice. I can deal with this."

Sughi continued, "Alright, elites. You're trained soldiers and assassins from the city—Alex, Serena, Sukuna, Kinto, Baraka, Mori, Runo, Deo, Son, Raquel. Do your best."

Alex grinned, cracking his fists together.

"Sure we will. No way we're losing."

"And one more thing," Sughi added. "From now on, the world will know you as Elite Squad 10.

Also—you'll be landing without parachutes."

Everyone froze for a moment.

Sughi explained calmly, "You've trained for missions like this since you were four. Your abilities are stable. You will jump from this jet and land directly at the Lightning Country's military base below."

Alex's face lit up instantly.

"Oh hell yeah! Now this is what I'm talking about!"

The rear hatch of the jet opened with a metallic rumble, wind roaring into the cabin.

One by one, the Elite Squad 10 jumped out with fierce excitement.

Lightning Lord's Office — Najenda's View

Inside her luxurious sky-tower office, Najenda sat with Kojin while Tomoa and Levi stood behind him.

"Well, Kojin," Najenda said with a confident smile, "I'm glad you could make it. And I hear your team has just arrived."

Kojin took a calm sip of his tea.

"Well, I'm glad to be here. And yes—didn't we agree that the strongest soldiers from both nations would face off?"

Najenda nodded. "We did. If your fighters win, the Lightning Country will help you with your weapon. But if you lose, the deal is off."

She smirked. "Just so you know—most of our soldiers are B-rank. Are you sure you want to go through with this?"

Kojin set down his cup gently, a dangerous smile creeping across his face.

"Oh, don't worry. My elites will put up a good fight. Besides… they're already B-rank or at least close. This is just a test to confirm it."

His smirk sharpened.

"And beware… there's a notorious one among them."

Tomoa and Levi exchanged nervous looks.

So scary…

Did Kojin just revert to his old self?

Skyfall — Arrival of the Elite Squad 10

The wind screamed past everyone as they fell from the sky.

Son ignited brilliant flames, using them to accelerate.

Serena's body crackled violently with electricity.

Sukuna gathered plasma, glowing like a miniature star.

Deo's legs transformed into metallic rocket-boosters.

Mori performed a rapid series of hand signs, concentrating.

Raquel crystallized her hands and feet into shining diamond-like armor.

Runo loaded her guns, calm and focused.

Alex, Kinto, and Baraka fell with huge grins—nothing but excitement on their faces.

They all struck the ground in synchronized, explosive landings—dust spiraling around their feet in a dramatic, flashy entrance.

Alex smirked.

"Alright… let's do this."

A woman approached them—short yellow hair, yellow dress, and an aura of elegance. She smiled warmly.

"Welcome to the Lightning Country. I am Nazuna, Lord Najenda's second-in-command.

That was an incredible landing. It's a pleasure to meet you, Elite Squad 10."

Back in the Office

Najenda folded her arms.

"You know, Kojin… your squad made a spectacular entrance. Skydiving thousands of feet without parachutes is reckless."

Kojin chuckled.

"There's no better way to make an amazing entrance, is there? It's a statement of strength."

Najenda explained,

"Your soldiers will be teleported into different areas of the country. Each area contains one of our top-rank warriors.

They will fight one-on-one."

Kojin sighed. "No problem at all."

Then he smirked.

"But I know you're lying. I'm sure you'll pull a few tricks."

Tomoa and Levi paled.

Yup… he definitely reverted…
