As Kojin sat in Najenda's office, watching the fight between Kinto and Hendrickson, he smiled and said, "That was the city's tactician, Kinto Kusekabe. He specializes in using tactics in his fights, as well as explosives. It would be a grave mistake to underestimate him."
Najenda, dropping her cup of tea slightly in surprise, responded, "I can see that. I might have looked down on your soldiers a bit, though. I guess my lightning soldiers will have to be wary from now on."
Kojin then looked at Levi, who was standing beside him, and said, "Kinto was under your care as a student, right, Levi? You did a good job teaching and training him. I'd expect nothing less from you."
Levi, responded, "Yeah, thanks, sir. Well, of course, I did my best training him. After all, his father, Kito Kusekabe, was my teacher once and had a thing for weapons of mass destruction. So I did everything in my power to train his son extremely well."
Tomoa added, "I always knew Kinto was good in combat and tactics, and I knew he had an IQ of 500 which allowed him to process things fast. But I wasn't expecting him to perform this well… looks like we have a wild one."
Levi thought to himself with a nervous smirk "More like a serial killer!"
Najenda asked Nazuna "How are the other fighters doing?", Nazuna replied, "The other lightning soldiers are still fighting the rest of the assassins and soldiers from the city of Kagahara."
Kojin, trying to tease Najenda, said, "You don't need to be boiling in frustration. After all, we made a deal. You said if my soldiers defeated yours, the lightning country would be in alliance with the city in terms of technology. Not that the city doesn't have good tech, but we could use the extra assistance."
Najenda smirked and responded, "Yeah, I know. You don't have to be so cocky yet. The fight isn't over."
Kojin returned an evil smile. "We'll see about that."
Tomoa and Levi exchanged nervous smiles, thinking, "Why are they so scary?! Come on, Kojin, stop giving us PTSD of what you used to be like!".
Nazuna whispered to Najenda, "Um… big sis, your other side is showing again."
Meanwhile, Mori and Junichi were locked in an incredibly deadly battle, moving at speeds over ten times faster than light, creating massive explosions that engulfed the surface city around them as they were fighting in. Junichi slashed and created lightning arcs that tore through buildings, while Mori countered with a red-energy saber, blocking and slicing through the destructive force of Junichi's attacks.
As the fight continued, Mori thought to himself, "This guy is wild; he could slice an island in two with those slashes. No wonder he's B-rank. But it doesn't mean I'm going to lose.".
Flying through the sky in a high-speed exchange, Junichi charged a massive lightning surge and released a giant slash toward Mori. Mori responded with a technique called Infinite Graze, creating arrows of energy that collided with Junichi's slash, resulting in a colossal explosion in the sky that incinerated surrounding buildings.
Junichi leapt out of the explosion, yelling in excitement, "OHH COME ON! IS THIS THE BEST YOU GOT?! I WANT MORE!".
Mori smirked, weaving hand signs. "You want more? I'll give you more!"
Using a technique called Giant Hell Pillars, massive flames erupted from the ground, blasting Junichi and causing a gigantic explosion in the sky. Breathing heavily, Mori thought, "That should take care of him… although I don't think that attack was enough to defeat him.".
Junichi shot out of the ground like a lightning bolt, preparing to slice through Mori with his claws. But Mori snapped his fingers with a smirk, saying, "You fell for it," as a spear-shaped beam of light descended from the sky, impaling Junichi. Junichi was In shock as blood spilled from his stomach and mouth "What the....?!".
Confused, Junichi asked "What the hell is this technique?", and Mori replied, "You gave me a hard time, you know? But it was nice fighting someone like you. I truly understand you… your thirst to fight and slash things down with you lightning. That's pretty cool.".
Junichi laughed. "Yeah, you're right. I see now that you weren't fighting just because you had to, but because fighting is the only way to truly understand another person."
Mori smiled. "Looks like we understand each other… but I'm not done with you yet."
Junichi's face showed nervous confusion. "What do you mean by that?"
Mori raised his hand. "I like to knock my opponents out with a banger. And I've been working on a new technique… thanks for volunteering as a test dummy!"
A giant bow and arrow made of light appeared in the sky, Mori had a smirk on his face as his lightning attack sparked almost out of control. Mori snapped his fingers, shouting, "God's Light!" The arrows flew at top speed, striking Junichi and causing a devastating explosion.
When the smoke cleared, the city around them was completely destroyed. Mori wondered "Hope I didn't over do it. I better go check on Runo to see how she's doing.", he thought.
