Chapter 37 - It's you...

The air inside the arrival grid of the Pewter City Team Rocket base was cold, humming with the heavy vibration of industrial anti-teleportation signal dampeners. The chamber was a masterclass in criminal security, split cleanly into two distinct zones: one side strictly calibrated for incoming warps, the other for outgoing transit. Because of the base's oppressive defensive shielding, anyone attempting to warp anywhere within the facility's perimeter was automatically intercepted and violently forced directly onto the arrival grid, where heavy-hitting base Pokémon stood behind a massive partition, ready to incinerate any unauthorized intruders.

With a final, metallic pop of displaced air, Emily materialized on the steel platform.

The moment their boots hit the ground, Kadabra's legs completely gave out. The psychic-type collapsed onto the cold floor with a dull thud, its fingers slipping from its silver spoon as its eyes rolled back, entirely unconscious. It had spent the day forcing high-mass, multi-target spatial warps on a completely empty reservoir, pushing its brain to the absolute brink of a fatal hemorrhage.

Emily dropped to one knee, gently pulling her hand away from Angel for a brief second to touch her partner's trembling shoulder. "Thank you, Kadabra... and sorry. I pushed you too far today. I promise to make it up to you," she murmured, her voice laced with genuine gratitude as she recalled the blacked-out Pokémon into its ball.

Across the thick, reinforced glass wall of the security partition, Executive Ariana already stood waiting. She looked immaculate, her silk robe replaced by her official, pristine white Executive uniform, the blood-red 'R' on her chest sharp and dominant. Seeing the bloody, ragged forms on the platform, a slow, satisfied smile spread across her lips.

"Came in quicker than I expected," Ariana said through the comm-speaker.

"I have Angel here with me," Emily said, rising to her feet and hoisting the unconscious girl back into her arms.

"Good. Well done! Elite Officer Emily. Your contribution will be noted," Ariana stated, acknowledging Emily's full rank with a cold, professional respect for a difficult job flawlessly executed.

Ariana hit the control panel, opening the heavy reinforced door separating the two halves of the chamber. A squad of armed Rocket grunts rushed onto the grid, carefully taking the dead weight of Angel out of Emily's arms. They safely escorted Emily out of the high-security zone and brought Angel directly to Ariana's side, laying her out on a mobile medical bed.

Ariana immediately leaned over the gurney, her sharp eyes examining the gruesome, crimson-soaked gauze packed into the eighteen-year-old's throat. Looking at the gray, bloodless tint of Angel's skin, Ariana's jaw tightened. She realized... they might be too late. But in the underworld, death was just another deadline to beat.

"Get her to the trauma wing. Now!" Ariana barked.

Within minutes, they were inside the base's high-tech, black-market medical theater. Standing over the bed was a woman wearing a stained, rumpled medical apron—a Nurse Joy from the prominent regional family, kidnapped months prior and forced under threat of execution to run Team Rocket's off-grid surgical operations.

The moment Joy pulled away Emily's hurried field gauze, her professional instincts took over her terror, and she began to panic.

"She's lost far too much blood—her pressure is bottoming out!" Joy stated frantically, her hands shaking as she clamped a leaking vessel. "The laceration is catastrophic. Her vocal cords... they've been completely severed. She might never be able to talk again, Ariana. We need to perform an immediate emergency reconstruction just to fix the structural damage, but whether she ever throws a voice again... that is entirely up to her own luck. And her raw willpower."

Joy grabbed a tray of surgical steel, her eyes wide as she looked at Ariana. "She needs an immediate blood transfusion to survive the table. We need to run a rapid test to check her blood type right now! Get the plasma lines ready!"

Joy and her assistant grunts began moving like lightning, prepping the monitors and sterile fields. Emily stood silently in the far corner of the sterile room, her body completely exhausted, but her tracker mind still fully active, listening attentively to every single detail of the diagnosis.

With the trays laid out and the anesthesia lines primed, Nurse Joy turned toward the two Rocket officers, her face pale. "We are opening her up now. Executive Ariana, Officer Emily... please, you must leave the room immediately."

Both Ariana and Emily walked into the concrete waiting room outside the surgical wing. The heavy steel doors hissed shut behind them, cutting off the rhythmic, panicked sounds of the kidnapped Nurse Joy prepping Angel for the knife.

The moment they were in the clear, Ariana snapped.

"Fucking useless pieces of absolute shit!" she screamed into her Pokégear, her voice a sharp, venomous blade that made the grunts on the other end of the line probably piss themselves. Her jaw was clenched so tight the veins in her neck stood out against her sharp white collar. "An accident? You managed to flip a high-speed transport truck on an empty transit route? If any of you incompetent cunts are still breathing, you better pray the impact kills you before I find your hospital beds! Get out of my sight!"

She slammed the call dead, her chest heaving underneath her form-fitting white jacket.

Emily sat uncomfortably on the metal bench next to her, her hands clasped between her knees, forced to listen to every single unhinged word. She waited a beat, watching the Executive's breathing slow down before she dared to open her mouth. "What's wrong? Is everything okay?"

"Tch... I had an extraction team ordered to go deal with that Weezing and bring it back to base," Ariana spat, running a gloved hand through her hair, her eyes flashing with a dangerous, erratic heat. "But those useless pieces of shit got themselves into an accident! And now there are no strong, high-level Rockets left in this entire fucking sector!"

"What about the other commanders?" Emily asked, leaning forward. "There is a Team Rocket Captain stationed here, right?"

"I would rather become a low-rank grunt myself than send that pathetic excuse for a captain on a mission this important!" Ariana snapped, her lips curling into a sneer of pure disgust. She paused, her eyes narrowing as a sudden, predatory smile cut through her rage. She shifted her weight, crossing her long, slender legs slowly, the stark white fabric of her uniform tightening against her thighs. "Tch... seems like I'll have to go there myself. I will personally deal with this and see it through."

Emily's eyes widened in sheer disbelief. "Ariana... you are going yourself?"

It wasn't every day you saw a top-tier Executive personally drop everything to handle a ground-floor asset. It hit Emily right then—Odin wasn't just a high-value target; he was an untouchable god-tier treasure to this organization if Ariana was willing to get her own hands dirty.

"But how will you go?" Emily pressed, her brows furrowing. "Can you even make it in time? Mount Moon isn't exactly six blocks away from the city center."

Ariana stopped dead. She turned her head slowly, looking down at Emily with an icy, dominant stare that made the temperature in the room drop. "Huh? A lower rank dares to question me? Think I don't know geography? Really?"

"I didn't mean—"

"I am fully aware of the distance, Emily," Ariana purred, her tone instantly shifting from clinical anger back to that thick, suffocating velvet. She ran a finger down the lapel of her white jacket, her eyes rolling back slightly in a wave of sudden, provocative excitement. "I have a Hypno ready to teleport... but I won't be using him today. No... I have something much more fun and exciting for that. I finally get to go and play with this bad boy."

Emily blinked, completely throwing her hands up internally at her boss's mood swings. "Bad boy? Play? You're not teleporting?"

"Let me show my dear Emily," Ariana whispered, her eyes dark and heavily hooded.

She turned on her heel, her leather boots clicking sharply against the concrete as she led Emily down a restricted, dimly lit corridor. She swiped a biometric keycard, opening the heavy door to a hidden vault. The room was packed to the ceiling with black-market gear, specialized collections, and ruthless field gadgets—night-vision optics, heavy electric iron bar cages designed to restrain high-level monsters, and custom-weighted Pokéballs.

But Ariana didn't look at any of it. She walked straight toward the back of the room, stopping in front of a massive object draped in a heavy black cloth.

With a wide, unhinged smile spreading across her lips, Ariana grabbed the edge of the fabric and ripped it away.

Revealed beneath the cloth was a sleek, pristine white motorcycle. It was a masterpiece of custom engineering—sporty, low-profile, aggressively angled, and built purely for terrifying speed. The bodywork was a blinding, flawless white, accented by a massive, blood-red Team Rocket 'R' lacquered perfectly onto the side of the fuel tank.

"My baby boy..." Ariana moaned out loud, her voice a deep, breathless purr of absolute lust. She leaned over the leather seat, her chest pressing flat against the frame as she reached out to kiss the sleek white metal of the gas tank tenderly, leaving a dark, prominent crimson lipstick mark right on its flawless surface. "I finally have an excuse to ride you again."

Emily stared at the machine, genuinely impressed despite herself. "Wow... that looks really cool, Ariana."

"Tell me all about it..." Ariana breathed, her fingers tracing the chrome exhaust pipe with a slow, sensual stroke. "This machine was the absolute love of my life before I had my baby junior. It's also how I met the Boss... we used to race together back in the early days. Ahhh... good fucking times."

Emily's jaw dropped slightly. "The Boss likes motorcycles and racing? Huh... who would have known." She looked toward the ceiling, hearing the distant rumble of thunder. "But how are you even going to leave the base with this? And also It looks like it's going to rain today... maybe very soon."

"A little rain can't stop me," Ariana laughed, a sharp, wild sound as she reached into her pocket. "And there is a way out. This vault is connected directly to a hidden tunnel system that cuts straight through the mountain rock and connects to Route 3."

She pulled out a small, specialized controller and slammed her thumb onto the master switch.

With a heavy, grinding roar of machinery, a massive section of the concrete wall slid downward into the floor, revealing a long, subterranean tunnel path lined with pristine, unmarred asphalt—a private drag strip built straight out toward the highway.

Emily looked from the tunnel back to Ariana, her mind clicking as she put the pieces together. A deadpan, fully flabbergasted expression took over her face. "Something tells me... you weren't mad at all that your extraction squad had an accident and couldn't make it."

Ariana frozen for a fraction of a second, her hands gripping the handlebars as she looked back over her shoulder, her eyes wide with a mock innocence that looked completely psychotic. "Oh dear... Emily, how could you suggest such a thing from an honest woman like me?"

"You did it, didn't you?" Emily muttered, her voice dead flat. "I certainly also didn't cause that accident myself," Ariana whispered with a wicked, teasing pout.

"Wait... you... did you actually cause that accident?–"

"Owhh dear... look at the time," Ariana cut her off, letting out a breathy, high-pitched giggle as she swung her long, slender leg over the seat, her tight white uniform straining against her hips. "Our poor Weezing is suffering out there... poor, sweet, loyal creature. I'm so sorry, Emily, it seems like I don't have any time to answer any of your little questions. I must take my leave."

Ariana gripped the handles, leaned over the digital console, and thumbed the ignition.

The motorcycle didn't just start; it roared to life with a ferocious, window-rattling scream of high-octane combustion. The sheer vibration of the engine ripped through the concrete vault, shaking Emily's boots. The moment the power vibrated up through the seat, Ariana's eyes closed, her back arching as she let out a loud, uninhibited, filthy moan of pure sexual satisfaction right over the roar of the exhaust.

She opened her eyes, locking her hyper-stimulated, unhinged gaze onto Emily's completely frozen, dumbfounded face.

"Chao mami," Ariana purred over the engine's scream.

She twisted the throttle full-bore. The rear tire screeched against the concrete, throwing a cloud of white smoke into the air as the white motorcycle rocketed down the dark tunnel like a missile, leaving Emily standing completely alone in the vault to her own chaotic thoughts.

The pristine asphalt of the hidden tunnel blurred into a smooth, black river under the front tire as Ariana tore away from the vault.

She opened the throttle completely, and the machine responded with an aggressive, earth-shattering howl that echoed off the concrete walls. The wind hit her face like a solid wall, tearing at her hair and sending it fluttering wildly behind her like a dark banner. She felt completely free—a sharp white needle cutting through the deep underground dark. Grinning like a lunatic, she shifted her weight, pulling the front wheel off the ground and holding an effortless, high-speed wheelie down the center line, completely unbothered by the fact that a single loose pebble would rip her to pieces at this velocity.

The motorcycle was a mechanical freak. It made a real-world Kawasaki Ninja H2R look like a primitive toy. Its top speed, acceleration, and specialized torque mapping defied standard engineering. The torque output was instantaneous, the weight distribution allowed for impossible lean angles, and the seamless gear shifts didn't drop a single revolution of power. It was suicidal to drive anything this fast through a subterranean corridor, but Ariana only laughed, leaning lower into the frame as the exit gap grew wider.

Within moments, the dark tunnel terminated, and she burst out into the late afternoon light of Route 3.

The fresh, damp scent of pine, crushed weeds, and wet earth instantly filled her nose as she leveled the bike out onto the highway. She glanced up at the sky, her red-lipped smile never fading. The weather looked completely gloomy, the heavy gray clouds sagging low over the peaks of the mountain range.

"Won't stop me," she muttered to herself.

Seconds later, the sky opened up. The first heavy drops of a torrential downpour began to slick the asphalt, forcing her to back off the throttle just a fraction so the rear tire wouldn't slip and trip the bike into a fatal slide.

As she navigated the winding bends of the raining highway, her sharp eyes caught the remnants of a battleground littering the sides of Route 3. Local authorities and emergency personnel were actively clearing the road. Several dead Pokémon lay twisted in the mud, their bodies broken, and further down, a small crowd of police officers stood over the covered corpse of a licensed trainer. It looked like a brutal, cold-blooded murder case. Unbeknownst to Ariana as she sped past the flashing lights, this trail of butchered monsters and the dead human weren't standard gang violence—they were the bloody wake Angel had left behind during her frantic pursuit of Odin.

Eventually, as the massive, craggy silhouette of Mount Moon began to choke the horizon, Ariana spotted a familiar, hulking shape moving along the shoulder.

It was Gym Leader Brock. He was riding atop his massive, thirty-foot Onix, his stone-faced expression locked toward the cavern entrance. His destination was obvious—he was responding to the regional Red Alert, heading down to put an end to Weezing's rampage.

Ariana didn't hesitate. She twisted the grip, leaned the bike hard to the left, and skidded directly across the lane, planting the sleek white motorcycle sideways right in front of the giant rock snake, completely blocking his path.

The Onix ground to a heavy, rumbling halt, its stone segments clattering together like falling boulders. Brock looked down from the beast's head, his jaw setting into a rigid line.

"Executive Ariana..." Brock growled, his voice deep and gravelly.

"Oh my... what a familiar face," Ariana purred, tilting her head as she rested her gloved hands on the handlebars. Her voice carried an irritating, haughty pitch, intentionally designed to cause maximum annoyance. "I haven't seen you in a long while... how are your eyes doing? Still allergic to the sun, I presume?"

Brock's fists tightened against his thighs. "Executive Ariana, I warn you! You better get out of my way. If it wasn't for my official duty, I would have already had Onix tear you apart this instant."

"Owh, Brocky... surely you jest," Ariana teased, her tone dipping into a thick, seductive purr as she flaunted her asset-tier figure over the tank. Her provocative nature was on full display. "We just reunited... and yet, you already can't wait to tear me apart and explore my insides? Ahh Mmhhh... can't you keep your dick in your pants? Owh, my bad—I meant, keep your Onix in your pants."

"Tch. What the fuck do you want?" Brock snapped, his stoic facade cracking under the sheer, vulgar weight of her words.

"Owh, Brocky... I was just curious. It's not every day I get to reunite with an old friend."

"Since when were we friends?" Brock spit back, glaring down from his mount. "I don't ever remember befriending a vexing bitch like you."

"Ow, how long will you keep that act up?" Ariana chuckled, her dark eyes flashing with pure mischief. "I know you want me. Just like you want the Nurse Joys... the Officer Jennys... Sabrina... Misty... Cynthia... shall I keep going, or is the list too long for your little head?"

Brock's chest hitched. His face flushed a dark, violent crimson as his rigid, principal-driven mind collided with the sudden mental imagery. "Wh-what... no... I'm a man of authority... and principles... I would never—" A sudden, aggressive stream of blood erupted from his right nostril, a physical testament to the sheer, unadulterated lust piercing his composure. He frantically reached up, wiping the nosebleed away with the back of his sleeve.

Seeing him crumble into a nervous, sweating mess, Ariana decided to double down on the psychological torment.

Slowly, deliberately, she reached up to her high collar and slid her jacket zippers downward. The white fabric parted, completely exposing her deep cleavage and massive, heavy breasts. She purposely pushed her chest forward, arching her back to emphasize her jaw-dropping size. With a slow, agonizingly sensual motion, she ran her manicured fingers down the slope of her bare skin, squeezing her own breasts as she locked her hooded gaze onto his face.

"It's so hot out here... Brock..." she whispered, her voice a dirty, breathless weight over the falling rain. "You asked me what I was doing... well... it was so hot that I wanted some fresh air... and some joy. What about you, Brock? Would you love to entertain a lonely woman for a bit?"

She leaned forward and slowly licked her lower lip.

The display was too fucking much. Brock completely lost himself, his sense of duty, his principles, and the regional emergency vanishing entirely into a cloud of overwhelming pleasure and dirty fantasies. Totally blinded by lust, his hands drifted down to the button of his trousers, ready to pull his pants right down on the side of the highway.

But just as his fingers caught the denim, Ariana's face instantly changed. The heat vanished from her eyes, replaced by a cold, mocking smirk.

"Ah.. right.. I forgot," she said, her voice dropping into a flat, dismissive tone. "You're not my type."

Before Brock's brain could even register the rejection, Ariana slammed her boot onto the gear shift and twisted the throttle to the stop. The rear tire spun with a violent, screaming screech, kicking up a massive, blinding wave of wet dirt, muddy water, and gravel from the shoulder. The thick sludge splattered aggressively across the highway, covering Brock's face, clothes, and the entire front side of his Onix in a disgusting layer of brown slime.

"Well, I have places to be! Chao papi," she purred over the roar of the engine.

With a deafening blast of exhaust, the white motorcycle vanished down Route 3 in a fraction of a second, leaving nothing but a streak of burning rubber in the rain.

Brock stood frozen atop his muddy Onix, his pants half-unbuttoned, his face covered in wet filth, dripping with a volatile mix of leftover lust and absolute, burning embarrassment.

"I fucking hate this bitch!" Brock roared into the empty rain.

○●○

The chaos at the western entrance of Mount Moon was an absolute media circus.

Ariana slowed her motorcycle as she neared the perimeter, her dark eyes scanning the massive blockade choking the highway. The League had moved aggressively; heavy transport vans and flashing police cruisers formed a solid steel wall across the road, backed by lines of Officer Jennys and high-level security Pokémon standing at absolute attention. A thick ribbon of bright yellow police tape barred the path, holding back a frantic, swelling crowd of stranded hikers, terrified students, travelers, and local trainers. The air was thick with panic and the digital chime of hundreds of devices. People were shoving their Pokégears into the air to take photos, recording the rising smoke, or shouting into active Xtranceiver video calls to broadcast the regional disaster live to the rest of Kanto.

Ariana had zero intention of being spotted in her pristine white Executive uniform.

She turned the handlebars sharply, veering off the asphalt and hitting the rough dirt of the off-road treeline. She navigated the dense brush with practiced ease, driving deep into the forest coverage until she found a completely secluded thicket. She cut the engine, the aggressive roar dying into the damp silence of the woods, and quickly dragged a layer of heavy pine branches over the bike to hide her machine from view.

Standing in the heavy downpour, she pulled her private Pokégear from her thigh holster. Her screen was flashing with an unread notification from Emily.

Ariana lifted her thumb to open it, but the heavy raindrops slamming onto the glass completely fucked with the touchscreen function. The moisture registered as random inputs, causing the interface to glitch violently—swiping to the wrong menus, opening old files, and doing absolutely everything except opening the goddamn message.

"Tch... piece of absolute garbage," Ariana hissed. Her jaw clenched in pure irritation as the screen kept bouncing around. The technical glitch completely broke her composure, and out of sheer, unadulterated frustration, she began lightly beating the side of the Pokégear with her fist, cursing the device under her breath.

After taking a sharp breath to calm her nerves, she stepped under the shelter of a thick oak tree. She thoroughly wiped the screen dry against a clean patch of her white sleeve, shielded the glass from the falling water with her hand, and finally managed to open the file. It was the precise coordinate file Emily had dropped—the static GPS anchor marking the high, rocky ridge overlooking the middle level crossroads inside the mountain.

Ariana studied the structural wireframe on her screen for a few thorough seconds, her eyes locking onto the exact spatial coordinates. She slipped the device back into her pouch, her face hardening into a look of cold, professional focus.

She reached down to her belt, unclipped a heavy, high-level luxury ball, and threw it forward. "Hypno, out."

With a sharp flash of white light, the yellow bipedal Pokémon materialized in the wet grass, its silver pendulum already swinging in a slow, rhythmic arc as its hooded eyes locked onto its master.

"Hypno, Teleport," Ariana ordered, her voice a sharp, commanding velvet that brook no argument. "We are dropping exactly onto these coordinates. Move."

Hypno's fingers tightened. The star on its forehead flared with a sudden, violent influx of hot pink psychic energy, wrapping around them both. The wet trees and the sound of distant sirens instantly dissolved into a smeared, reality-bending snap, dragging Ariana straight out of the forest and plunging her directly into the ash-choked darkness of Mount Moon's interior.

This wasn't a battleground; it was a charnel house.

The moment the pink psychic flash of Hypno's teleportation snapped away, the sensory overload hit Ariana like a physical blow. She didn't laugh. She didn't smile. The teasing, haughty mask she had worn on the highway was instantly scorched away, leaving her face pale and entirely rigid beneath her high white collar. She had stood in Tier-1 regional Red Alert zones before, but she hadn't seen a field that looked like this since the final, desperate months of the war between Kanto and Johto.

The middle cavern was completely drowned in a thick, choking blanket of black smog and sulfurous Poison Gas. The smell was the worst part—the heavy, sweet, greasy stench of rendered human fat mixed with the metallic copper of uncoiled intestines and the chemical burn of vaporized internal organs.

Below the ridge, the crossroads were gone, buried under a literal mountain of the dead. At a bare minimum, the corpses of over four hundred Pokémon and forty humans were scattered and piled across the limestone floor. None of them were merely injured. They were dead. Severed limbs, shattered skulls, and torsos ripped completely in half littered the rocks. Some of the heavier wild beasts—massive Gravelers and wild Rhydons—had been smashed into a literal wet meat paste by consecutive Body Slams, their shattered shells leaking grey marrow into the dirt. Others were half-eaten, heavy chunks of scales and muscle ripped out by jagged, frantic teeth.

The entire cavern was a sea of fire. Weezing's Heat Wave had turned the crossroads into a continuous, self-sustaining furnace, and the piles of corpses were literally being used as fuel, the fat from the dead feeding the roaring orange flames. And worst of all, the slaughter wasn't entirely finished. A few surviving trainers and wild Pokémon were still trapped in the deeper recesses of the blaze, being burned alive. Their agonizing, bubbling screams and screeching cries echoed off the stone walls, a chorus straight out of a waking nightmare.

Ariana froze completely still on the rock ledge, her gloved fingers trembling against her thigh. Is this even berserk anymore? she thought, her mind reeling as she stared into the inferno. Emily said the thing went berserk... but this isn't a tantrum. This is a demon. No It's a devil. How the fuck is he still going?

Stepping past her shock, her survival instincts took over. She vaulted off the high ridge, her heavy leather boots landing with a dull crunch on a blackened, ash-covered stalagmite. As she descended into the heat, she reached down to her Poké belt and unclipped two heavy luxury balls, throwing them forward alongside her swinging Hypno.

"Honchkrow! Arbok! Out!" she commanded, her voice cutting through the roar of the fire.

With twin flashes of light, her personal vanguard materialized. Her massive Honchkrow took to the smoky air with a sharp, predatory cry, its wings beating back the thick smog, while her giant Arbok slithered into a tight, defensive coil at her boots, its hood flared and hissing violently at the stench of blood.

Drawing her high-level team close, Ariana stepped over the charred, brittle remains of an ash-statue that used to be a civilian hiker, advancing toward the center of the crater. As the smoke parted ahead of her, she finally laid her eyes on the state of Weezing—or what was left of him.

This wasn't a battle anymore. It was a desecration.

What stood before Ariana was a broken, mutilated husk of a Pokémon. Weezing had completely lost his mind; the vibrant, terrifying predator of the Diamond potential was entirely gone. His bloated, dual-headed body was riddled with deep, weeping holes, bleeding a mixture of black fluid and hot grease onto the scorched stone. His eyes were completely milk-white—no irises, no pupils, just blank, dead spheres that couldn't register his surroundings anymore.

He didn't even notice her approach at first. Instead, the giant poison-type was blindly beating his primary head against a jagged stalagmite, over and over, trapped in a horrific mental loop thinking it was a wild Pokémon or a human survivor. His consciousness had entirely shattered. The trauma of the soul-line fracture, combined with the belief that Angel was dead, had caused him to mentally shut down. He wasn't a sentient being anymore. He was just a suffering creature moving on pure, raw instinct.

"I'm sorry... Odin," Ariana whispered.

Her face hardened into an expression of absolute gravity, her dark eyes turning sharp and cold—yet beneath the executive mask, there was a profound, aching sadness. This was the dark reality of the criminal world, the ultimate curse of being fiercely loyal and emotionally attached to a master. Despite her best efforts to remain the cold-blooded killer a Team Rocket Executive was born to be, her gloved fingers were slightly trembling against her thigh.

"But I have to put it out of its misery," she said, her voice soft, cold, yet deeply regretful and upset.

Sensing the shift in the air, the Weezing finally turned his blank, blood-stained faces toward her. He looked completely exhausted, his massive bulk sagging toward the floor. Even though his Swallow move had allowed him to heal his physical wounds during the slaughter, it couldn't restore his stamina, his energy, or his profound mental exhaustion.

The primary head dropped its jaw, trying to channel a Flamethrower—but nothing came out except a weak puff of gray ash. It tried a Sludge Bomb. Nothing. It tried Thunderbolt, Heat Wave, Poison Gas, Smokescreen—nothing. Every single elemental reservoir in his body was bone dry. He had completely exhausted his physical energy; he had run out of this world's version of PP.

The sight made Ariana's chest tighten with a sharp tinge of pity. In the gritty reality of this world, a Pokémon with zero move energy had only one option left: Struggle. But unlike the sanitized League games where it just caused mild recoil damage, using Struggle in this world meant burning your own life force, converting your actual vitality into a desperate, final gambit. It was a suicidal, last-ditch effort.

With a wet, wheezing grunt, the monster hurled his mass forward in a desperate Struggle against Ariana. But he was too slow, his movements incredibly sluggish in the smoke. Ariana didn't even need her Pokémon to defend her; she simply sidestepped the charging mass with a clean, fluid motion.

Weezing sailed past her and crashed heavily against the limestone wall, collapsing into a heap of bruised flesh.

Ariana looked down at him, her heart heavy. At this rate, the creature was going to die right in front of her, either from sheer exhaustion or by burning away the last of his own life force. "Sorry," she muttered, her voice shaking slightly. "But let me put you out of your misery. Sorry, Odin... I'll get you a new Koffing. I will personally force Petrel to breed a Platinum-Potential Koffing just for you."

She raised her hand, her eyes locking onto her airborne vanguard. "Honchkrow, Dark Pulse!"

Her massive bird-type opened its beak, unleashing a devastating, spiraling wave of dark, concentrated energy straight at the collapsed Weezing. But just as the black beam was about to obliterate the broken shell—

"Graveler, Rock Throw!" an arrogant, cocky male voice echoed from the darkness of the lower tunnel.

"Arbok, Sludge Bomb!" a second voice cried out, a bit timid and sheepish, yet fierce.

A massive, jagged boulder rocketed out of the smoke, colliding violently with a high-velocity stream of toxic purple sludge. The two sudden attacks slammed directly into Honchkrow's Dark Pulse mid-air, detonating in a massive explosion of rock shards and acid that violently forced the trajectory of the beam wide, causing it to miss Weezing by mere inches and shatter the cavern wall behind him.

Ariana snapped her head toward the southern tunnel entrance, her hand instantly dropping to her holster as her Arbok coiled into a lethal, defensive spring.

"Sorry, but not sorry. I would prefer if you didn't kill my two-headed blob," the arrogant male voice jeered as the thick smog began to clear. "I have a serious bone to pick with him, so kindly fuck off, will ya?"

"Sorry... Ariana... it's been a while, huh?" the female voice added, sounding a bit sheepish as she stepped into the dim light of the sea of fire. "Kind of a long story..."

Ariana froze, her breath catching in her throat as the firelight illuminated the two figures stepping over the blackened corpses.

"It's you..." Ariana breathed, her cold mask completely fracturing as a look of total shock washed over her face. "You're alive... both of you."
