Cain had forgotten all the terrible things he had seen a few days ago...
How can he not when he's too busy having the time of his life right now?
Their new home was awesome. Sure, it wasn't as huge and as grand as their old home, but it's more than big enough for all five of them to use. The huge difference is that Cain doesn't need help to explore it. He doesn't need to be led by the hand to see where the rest of his family were. In just a few steps, he'd be able to see them.
What's more important for Cain is that their new home is...warmer than the old one. He couldn't explain it with his limited vocabulary; he just liked it better.
Things were easier here for him to understand, and his family were always within his reach. He now always wakes up not worrying where they are or what they're doing; he doesn't need to wait for a long time for them to visit him, which could span for weeks at minimum, if not months.
