Cain stopped crying at some point...
When he lifted his face from his mother's bosom, he found out that everything was over. The bad people were gone, and all the scary things had disappeared.
The huge fires and thick smoke disappeared. The bad smell in the air was also gone, as were the piles of dead bugs and their blood that formed rivers all over the world. The sky was no longer dark and gloomy, and the fear he had felt since everything began started fading away.
His face scrunched up in confusion as he continued looking around. He couldn't understand why everything suddenly felt better and why everything seemed more beautiful.
The skies were suddenly all clear and pretty, dotted with puffy white clouds that floated about aimlessly. The sunrays were warm and bright, the air was crisp and clean, and everything was peaceful, serene, and incredibly beautiful.
