Jiang Erlang howled a few times and angrily said, "What do you mean you didn't notice? I think you did it on purpose!"
"You're just helping that little vixen!"
Yun Jiao's lips curved slightly. Who would've thought Jiang Youzhi could be so cunning.
Jiang Erlang couldn't bear the pain any longer. He turned around, snatched Yang's money pouch, fumbled inside, found a piece of silver weighing about one ounce, and hurled it in Yun Jiao's direction.
With quick reflexes, Yun Jiao reached out and caught the silver in her hand.
She turned and entered the kitchen, loudly calling out, "Mom, the silver is for you."
Mrs. Chen, who was washing dishes, was taken aback, "For me?"
"It's the silver you earned, you should keep it."
Yun Jiao stuffed the silver into Mrs. Chen's arms, smiling, "Mom should hold onto it."
She knew she wouldn't be able to keep this piece of silver. Mrs. Zhou would soon find an excuse to take it away, and if she refused, she'd just be in for a scolding or beating.
But giving the silver to Mrs. Chen was different.
She also wanted to save some silver for herself, but not now.
After giving the silver, she turned and came out, still holding the hatchet.
Jiang Erlang glared at her viciously, "I've given you the silver, now start treating me."
"If you dare to cheat me out of my silver and can't fix it, see how I'll deal with you!"
Yun Jiao hesitated for a moment, glancing at Jiang Youzhi.
Her eyes seemed to speak, and Jiang Youzhi quickly understood her meaning.
She needed to treat Erlang's arm but couldn't do it while holding the knife.
Yet, without the knife, she didn't feel safe.
Jiang Youzhi subtly moved closer to Jiang Erlang and then gave Yun Jiao a slight nod.
Yun Jiao breathed a sigh of relief, finally setting down the hatchet and walking toward Jiang Erlang.
She reached out to hold Jiang Erlang's arm and suddenly looked up at the sky, "Wow, what a big pig flying in the sky."
Jiang Erlang instinctively looked up at the sky.
At that moment, Yun Jiao pulled and pushed, resetting his arm.
She quickly ran back.
Jiang Erlang still held his head up, "Where's the pig flying in the sky?"
Beside him, Jiang Youzhi couldn't help but laugh.
Only then did Jiang Erlang realize he'd been tricked. In a fit of rage and shame, he raised his arm, pointing at Yun Jiao, "You played me? Just wait, I won't let you off!"
Next to them, Yang gleefully exclaimed, "Erlang, your arm is really better!"
Jiang Erlang finally realized that he'd just lifted his right arm.
He tried moving it, found it moved freely, and didn't hurt.
Yang then felt distressed, "Just a push like that is worth one ounce of silver?"
"Goodness, there wasn't even a sound."
Jiang Youzhi glanced at Yang and earnestly fibbed, "One ounce of silver is not expensive. Last time, my classmate had a dislocated arm like Erlang's, and the doctor from the county charged him two ounces to fix it."
Actually, that doctor hadn't charged anything, but he knew that if he didn't say so, Yang would probably scold Yun Jiao for three days and nights.
During dinner, Mrs. Zhou unexpectedly glanced at Yun Jiao, "You can treat illnesses?"
Yun Jiao blinked, "I can treat some, and some I can't."
As for which ones she could and couldn't, that was up to her to decide.
Mrs. Zhou didn't say anything else, her eyes downcast, lost in thought.
After dinner, Yun Jiao followed Mrs. Chen into the room, hesitating a moment, "Mom, I want to go back to my family home tomorrow."
Mrs. Chen turned around, "It's about time you did."
"You've been married and haven't returned home yet. Fine, since Sanlang is at home, let him take you back tomorrow."
