"You may be young, but you are also an independent individual, a living person, not something that can be manipulated at will. Naturally, not everyone can be required to be the same."
Ethan Herd didn't speak; he wasn't looking at Anthony Davis, but he was listening intently.
Anthony Davis chuckled, "Sure, you may not be as good in your studies as those top students, and you may not be as compliant as they are, but is that all there is to judge a child as good or bad? Anyway, I don't think so. In my opinion, you are better than all of them, because you have something they might not possess even when they grow up to be adults. Do you know what it is?"
Anthony Davis's words were undeniably a shock to Ethan Herd.
Since childhood, all he heard from teachers and parents was, 'You must listen to your teachers, listen to your parents, study well, don't skip classes, don't fight, or else you're a bad kid!'
