"If I wait for you, do I have to leave?"
Jonah shook his head, Uncle Reed and Aunt Reed exchanged glances, each pressing their lips together.
Uncle Reed sat down, and Aunt Reed served them soup.
Mary Douglas took a sip of soup and said lightly, "Aunt Reed, my appetite hasn't been great lately. Next time, add a bit of vinegar to the soup."
Aunt Reed sighed, then asked, "Do you need to go to the hospital for a check-up?"
Mary shook her head, "It's nothing, sometimes people just need a change of taste."
Jonah suddenly said from the side, "So you won't swap Beau Reed out too, right?"
A sudden pain shot through his calf, and when he looked up, he saw a warning look from his father.
Aunt Reed also glanced at him disapprovingly.
He endured the pain and stuffed a mouthful of food into his mouth.
Mary seemed to have no reaction.
After finishing the soup and barely eating a few bites of rice, she put down her chopsticks.
Aunt Reed looked worried, "That's too little to eat."
