Although this thief was a bit odd, Cherline Lindsey seemed to have no interest in him. She turned around, ready to leave—
"Miss Cherline Lindsey, please wait."
The thief suddenly called out to her.
And he knew her first and last name.
This unexpected occurrence made Cherline Lindsey pause, yet she didn't turn around, sharply asking, "Who sent you?"
"Here is a letter." The thief took five steps forward, bent at the waist, and handed it to her.
Cherline Lindsey, however, did not reach out to take it, instead questioning again, "Who sent you?"
"It was... it was a little boy."
The thief suddenly seemed to know everything, "He gave me some money to draw you out alone with a diversion, and then to give this letter to you."
As he was speaking, Cherline Lindsey had already taken the seemingly ordinary letter and tucked it into her pocket, asking, "Did he leave any other message?"
"No, just this letter." The thief did not seem to be lying.
