Joseph Thompson thought Jaylene Ziel was just sulking and had slammed the door of the room. He didn't pay it much mind and continued smoking in the corridor, planning to comfort his angry wife after finishing his cigarette. Only then did he realize the room was empty, and Jaylene Ziel was nowhere to be found.
He guessed she might have gone downstairs to be with the child. He had been seriously pondering about Romney Queens on the balcony just now, so he went downstairs to look for Jaylene.
After circling downstairs and finding no one, he quickly asked Anna Ainsworth, who was busy preparing lunch, "Sister-in-law, have you seen Jaylene?"
"Yeah, didn't she drive away?" Anna Ainsworth looked at Joseph Thompson with some surprise: "Didn't you go with her? I thought the two of you were heading to her Mother's Home."
"Ah, she went to her Mother's Home?" Joseph Thompson caught on and quickly asked, "And what about Aunt and Gale Summer? Why haven't I seen them either?"
