They clashed again, the brutal rhythm of battle resuming.
The Underworld Werewolf roared and swung with savage force like before but Shoji stood firm in his ground without fear. He meeting each clawed strike with his glowing fists.
Bone cracked against Mana, shockwaves rippling outward with every collision.
BAGH!
BAGH!
BAGH!
...
Meanwhile, Axel moved like smoke around them, agile and relentless.
He slashed at the beast's exposed body, his daggers gleaming with light of Mana as they carved shallow lines into thick hide.
Each slashes drew more of that sizzling black blood, but the Werewolf didn't fall.
Its regeneration was relentless as well.
Every cut Axel made slowly sealed. Every brutal blow Shoji delivered left bruises that vanished too quickly.
Still, the beast's movement was slowing. Its limbs twitched with strain and its breathing had turned into snarling gasps.
Then suddenly they felt rush of air. Then a shadow coming from above.
Someone dropped from the sky.
