On the other side of the country, thousands of kilometers from the camp, we go to UA, where a light was still on inside the teachers' offices. It came from the lamp on Toshinori's desk, where he was currently checking some final emails and the most relevant news in the country. Perhaps he had already passed his Quirk on to young Midoriya, and being able to use his power for only one hour a day wasn't much, but he was always willing to go wherever he was needed.
"I need coffee..." Frowning, he got up from his chair to make himself a cup of coffee. After a few minutes, he returned with a cup in his hand. These last few days had been quieter than usual, allowing him some time for himself without having to worry about anything or anyone, since his heir was under the strict training of the young Uzumaki. "I never thought there would be anyone more terrifying than Gran Torino when it came to training," he said, smiling at the thought as he continued drinking his coffee.
*I'm here!* *I'm here!* *I'm here!*
Hearing that strange ringtone, the gaunt blond picked up his phone and answered it. "This is Toshinori," he said hesitantly. It was strange to receive a call at this hour on his personal phone.
"Hola, Toshinori..."
"..." The coffee cup fell from his hand and shattered into pieces, while the gaunt blond stiffened, his eyes widening. He recognized that voice. He knew exactly who it belonged to, and a wave of fear ran through his body. "All... For... One..." He spat out almost every word, recognizing with dismay the voice of his oldest enemy.
"It's been a long time, old friend."
"I'm not your friend." The hatred in Toshinori's voice was noticeable, and his expression darkened. "What do you want? Why are you calling me?" In moments like these, he cursed not being able to count on the support of the police to trace the call. He had to find out where All For One was and catch him before something happened.
"I'm just here to say hello and chat. For example, about a certain young ninja who's playing hero at your academy."
"Uzumaki Naruto…" A deep sense of fear came over the Symbol of Peace. What could All For One want with the young Uzumaki? He had a few ideas of what it could be, and each one presented a scenario worse than the last.
"Yes, I must say I'm annoyed that someone like him, with so much... potential, ended up in your ranks. You've only filled his head with garbage with your ideals. Do you really think the young shinobi will grow up to be a hero?"
"He is already a hero," Toshinori replied firmly, fully believing in the young Uzumaki's loyalty.
"For how long?" That question, full of mockery and arrogance, made the slender figure of the Symbol of Peace expand, taking the form of his alter ego, All Might. "You and I know that boy is unlike anything we've encountered before. He is strong, lethal, powerful, and undoubtedly dangerous, but my interest lies not in his current 'self,' but in something much better."
"What do you mean?" All Might asked anxiously.
"I don't need the brat you've molded, a soft brat who thinks he can be redeemed... no, I want the real Uzumaki Naruto, a ninja who isn't afraid to spill the blood of those who stand in his way, someone who isn't afraid of death, someone who has the ability to shape the world..."
"..." All Might saw his computer screen begin to flicker. He had an emergency call from Mandalay. Opening the call link, the first thing he saw was two people in black cloaks with red clouds.
"We need backup! Several pro heroes down! It's an emergency! Code Black! Our students are in mortal danger! Please, we need backup!" It was Mandalay's desperate voice. Through her helmet, the screen showed the battle zone: the heroes who had fallen in battle, Aizawa's critical condition, the lifeless bodies of Tiger and Vlad King, Ryukyu lying on the ground bleeding, Mirko being tortured during her battle against the two villains, and Mt. Lady in the hands of one of them.
"..." All Might felt a lump form in his throat, and a heartbreaking feeling of despair shook his body. Clutching his phone until it cracked, he stood up. "What have you done?" he asked in a voice trembling with the rage and fear he was feeling.
"Awakening the devil of UA..."
"..." All Might wrecked his office as he smashed through the walls to get out of the building, leaving behind the screen that showed Naruto surrounded by a red aura in the shape of a three-tailed animal. Almost breaking the speed of sound, the Symbol of Peace raced through the city streets to get out of the city and head toward the camp, praying to the heavens that he wouldn't be too late.
...….
"..." The truth had been revealed, and Naruto could only keep his gaze lowered, supporting himself with one hand against the tree behind him to avoid falling. He needed time for his body to get used to having the Bijū's chakra sealed.
"Reality is often disappointing, Uzumaki. You should know that better than anyone..." The three masks hovering in the sky returned to their user and rejoined his body. "This won't kill you..." Forming a long series of hand seals, two masks emerged from Kakuzu's shoulders. "But it will hurt. A lot..." Clapping his hands together forcefully, a powerful gust of wind erupted from his hands, a great burst of fire came from the mask on his right shoulder, and finally, lightning shot out from the mask on his left shoulder. The three elements combined to create a cyclone of fire with lightning swirling around it.
The massive attack was aimed directly at Naruto, who simply lowered his head.
"What the hell is going on?" Hidan growled angrily when he saw that the technique his partner had launched was absorbed by a strange vortex. A few seconds later, he saw a large scroll in the teenager's hands. "I hate those things," he joked upon seeing the 'absorption' kanji on the large scroll that the Uzumaki brat was carrying. The scroll was as big as Naruto himself, and after closing it, he threw it in the direction of the immortal duo.
The space between them was suddenly occupied by a copy of the teenager, who opened the scroll and pointed it directly at his two opponents. "I'll return it to you…" With that whisper, the blond unleashed the attack Kakuzu had launched. Both members of Akatsuki were caught by the whirlwind of fire and lightning, triggering an explosion that shook the area of the forest trapped inside the barrier.
"..." The original Naruto disappeared with a Shunshin, only to reappear alongside his clone, who dropped the scroll as it burst into flames and turned to ashes. The clone glanced at the original before disappearing in a cloud of smoke.
"You damn psycho brat! That hurt like hell!" In the scorched and blackened clearing, Hidan's silhouette rose from the ashes, his body covered in third-degree burns that deformed his entire body. But this didn't last long, as his skin turned dark and the pattern of bones appeared. In just seconds, the follower of Jashin was healed. "What do you think of my new trick?" Smiling, he bent down to pick up his scythe.
"I always hated Uzumaki Fūinjutsu." From the ground next to Hidan, two hands emerged, and slowly, Kakuzu's silhouette rose from beneath the earth without a single scratch. "I think it's time we took this seriously... don't you think?" Without saying another word, the real fight began.
Kakuzu grabbed Hidan by the neck and threw him forcefully toward the teenager, who took a defensive stance as the immortal madman approached and nearly cut him in half with his scythe. Dodging the attack, Naruto had to cover his face when the masked man rushed him next. With his Sharingan capturing every movement, the teenager was able to keep up with the rain of blows.
"Let's increase the difficulty, Uzumaki!" Naruto had to back away from Kakuzu when a scythe flew between them. Hidan, coming from behind, delivered a hard kick to the center of the teenager's back. Before Naruto could even react, he received a brutal blow to the stomach from Kakuzu, whose right hand had darkened.
"Gurandosupia…" Upon naming that technique, the masked Akatsuki member's hands turned black, and he unleashed a barrage of brutal blows that Naruto could not dodge. Backing away, the blond shinobi ducked to avoid Hidan's scythe, only to receive a hard kick to the face and then a deep cut across the chest that made blood splatter.
"Aha! Jackpot! You're dead, Uzumaki!" With euphoria, Hidan saw the brat's blood dripping from his weapon, but before he could even begin his ritual, a water dragon crashed into him, striking him and throwing him far away among the few trees that were still standing. "Hmm." The silver-haired man, sore and soaked, got up and saw that the blood on his weapon had been washed away by the Suiton technique. "You're a fucking bastard, Uzumaki!" the follower of Jashin shouted furiously as he stood up and glared at the teenager.
