"Hmm?" Thomas Shannon lowered the cigarette in his hand, flicked off the ash, then inclined his head, leaning closer to her.
Sophie Sullivan raised an arm, looped it around his neck, and standing on her tiptoes, whispered in his ear, "You're trying to seduce me."
Thomas Shannon's whole body stiffened. Then, he let out a low, deep laugh, a touch of disbelief in his voice as he asked, "What did you just say?"
Sophie huffed. As if I'd repeat that obediently!

Thomas Shannon was overjoyed. Holding his cigarette in one hand and Sophie's slender waist in the other, he pressed her against him. He lowered his head, his magnetic voice tinged with laughter. "Tell me, what did you just say?"

"Annoying?" Thomas Shannon lowered his head and gently bit her red lips. "When we were on the bed, that's not what you said."
