Thomas Shannon raised one hand and touched his neck. Luckily, he had stopped her in time; otherwise, if she had bitten down harder, he would have bled.
"Such a ruthless little thing!" Thomas Shannon's tone was slightly cold as he snorted.
Sophie Sullivan pursed her lips, looking rather defiant. "Who asked you to act like a rascal?"
When he acted like a rascal towards her, why didn't he consider she might be ruthless? It's too late for him to blame her now. Anyway, she'd had her fill of biting him; he could say whatever he wanted.
Thomas Shannon released his hand, and Sophie immediately raised hers to rub her numb and aching cheek.
"Rascal?" Thomas Shannon sneered. If he really wanted to be a rascal, would he need to use his mouth? Wouldn't it be better to just act directly?
Sophie couldn't be bothered to argue with him. She folded her arms across her chest, her expression cold as she asked, "Are we crossing the desert or not?"
