Angela Summer heard this, and bit her lip tightly, looking like she wanted to argue but knew she couldn't convince him.
She took a gentle breath, turned her head with reddened eyes, and said softly, "You almost didn't make it out of the operating room."
Philip Shaw lowered his gaze and gave a slight, faint smile, then suddenly called her name: "Angela."
Angela Summer looked up, knowing he had something to say, and quietly watched him.
"You're not that young anymore. Don't pin all your life's hopes on me. Find someone to date, go on a trip or make some new friends."
Angela Summer's voice was tense: "Are you trying to drive me away?"
Philip Shaw played absentmindedly with the iPad in his hand, looking down at his fingers, "I have things I have to do, I'm afraid I can't take you with me."
"What is it? Is it dangerous? Why can't I go with you?"
