They probably think she and Eric Candi are very close.
Some things only those involved would understand.
Aldana Candi smiled and asked, "Then why don't you take me away immediately?"
"I'm hungry, I want to eat something." Aya Candi answered while eating slices of beef, "You could try to run. If you get away, I can keep looking for good food while looking for you."
Aldana Candi smiled and shook her head.
"I don't have that kind of ability."
The only reason she's survived up to now is because Eric Candi has been looking after her. She was never cut out for this.
Aya Candi paused, then swallowed the beef slice and looked up at her.
"If you go back this time, you'll die." Aya Candi's face, when not eating, looked very serious. "You should know, the organization deals with runaway traitors very harshly. Unless you're not caught, otherwise, there's only death."
