She wasn't ignorant of the ways of the world—how could she not know how much Trenton Smith had sacrificed for her?
Those he should offend, and those he shouldn't, he'd offended them all for her.
"No worries." Tilly Flower sighed lightly and spoke to Norris, "As long as he's happy. Don't worry, Trenton may be headstrong, but in his lifetime, there's nothing he's wanted to do that he hasn't succeeded in." She always suspected that if one day he wanted to run for President of the United States, he could win, simply because he wanted to.
But it was clear that Trenton didn't appear too ambitious about his career or interested in power. Otherwise, whatever he wanted, there would be nothing he couldn't acquire.
Norris rested her chin on her palm, her brows furrowed: "If Aldana could truly be rescued from the hands of Steven Balance and Philip Shaw by him, that would be great."
