Sophia Phoenix hugged her tightly and said, "I just can't bear to hand you over to someone else."
"How come I didn't know you loved me this much?"
Her words made his heart ache.
"I've always loved you, Tilly. Trust me one more time."
Tilly let out a scoff while laying in his arms, didn't say a word, just pulled away and ripped her boarding pass in front of Sophia Phoenix.
Sophia Phoenix watched emotionlessly as Tilly threw the shredded boarding pass into a trash bin. Her face was pale and devoid of expression as she stood before him and said coldly, "It's enough that you're making things difficult for me, don't go making things difficult for my father in the United States. He's already had a hard time, and I don't want my troubles to bother him."
"Tilly."
He called her softly, his voice carrying a barely restrained pain.
"Enough, stop being dramatic." Her demeanor and expression grew even colder, her voice chilling as if soaked in ice water, "You win, let's go back."
