When the words fell, Ronald Loman didn't pay any more attention to everyone's reactions, but instead, took Annie Taylor's hand and left straight away without looking back.
"Scoundrel... scoundrel!"
Behind them, they could still vaguely hear the trembling voice of Old Sir Loman in anger. Annie Taylor was somewhat worried, frequently looking back until they walked far enough that she couldn't help but speak up: "Grandpa won't really be upset, will he?"
