Looking at Alice Smith's somewhat unsightly expression, Benjamin Barker's mother flashed a trace of smugness on her face, then spoke: "I bet it's some bald old man. Otherwise, why would she cling to our Bin and not let go!"

Suddenly, a crisp child's voice rang out, right after that, the crowd saw a little boy in a suit and tie sprinting towards Alice and instantly hugging her thigh.
"Hankie."
Seeing her child, Alice's brows and eyes finally softened a bit, the previous coldness and greyness dissipating, with maternal brilliance shining everywhere.
Hankie stood by Alice's side, holding her hand, looked around at the gathered people, and finally the gaze fell on Benjamin Barker's mother, pointing at her with a thin finger, turned his head and said to Alice in a childlike voice, "Mum, who is this granny!"
The surroundings could not help but burst into a light laughter. Though the sound wasn't loud, it still made the woman's face look very unpleasant.
