Emily Taylor's face turned pale suddenly upon hearing her son's question.
She clenched her fists. "Those shameless lovebirds, back then, they were inseparable, colluding without shame!"
She could never forget the days when she was pregnant with Aidan Lucas, bitterly waiting for Theodore Lucas to come home.
"I had only been married into the Lucas family for three days, and Theodore Lucas already started staying out all night. When Mr. Lucas found out, he dragged Theodore back home and sent Tara Hammond away to another province. Not long after, I became pregnant with you, and Mr. Lucas loosened his control over Theodore Lucas a little."
Recalling the past, Emily's eyes dimmed.
"At the time, I thought having a child would at least make that man change his heart. But I couldn't have imagined... Tara Hammond was remarkable. She went to another province merely to care for her pregnancy. She was already carrying Theodore Lucas's child!"
