Lily did not respond to Emily Taylor immediately.
She put the damaged listening device back into the Transformers toy, then handed it back to Charles Taylor. "Abbie, take Lulu and Paul Davidson over there to play."
Lily pointed to the adjacent room.
Abbie nodded obediently and led Charles Taylor and Lulu, who were completely clueless about the situation, out of the room.
Once the three children had left, Emily Taylor no longer held back and asked anxiously, "Lily, what did you just put into Paul's toy?"
"Mom, it's a listening device." Lily walked up to Emily Taylor and sat down beside Sylvia Scott.
Emily Taylor's face changed drastically. "A lis- a listening device… why would you put a listening device in there!?"
