Liam's POV
The gates of the Northern Lands shut behind us. Our next destination would be far more difficult: the Western Lands.
"We need to rest," Edward said.
I frowned, annoyed. "You may have monstrous power, Your Majesty, but the rest of us don't."
Edward's gaze softened, trying to convince me. I sighed in resignation.
"Fine."
Just then, King Lancester of the Northern Lands approached me.
"Thank you so much, King Liam, for your help," he said warmly. "You are welcome to stay in the Northern Palace. Please—don't say no."
"Thank you for your hospitality," I replied.
He smiled, clearly relieved by my agreement.
We mounted the horses gifted to us by the Northern King and rode back to the palace. Upon arrival, I requested to stay in the annex building instead of the main palace. I preferred the distance—just in case. I've ruined too many places with uncontrollable power outbursts brought on by sudden rage.
