Chapter 784 - Chapter 783: Sitewell’s little trick

In the meeting room, Sitwell and Barton sat across from Omoi and Karui. Hidden cameras recorded everything happening in the room.

Sitwell began, "I'm Agent Sitwell from S.H.I.E.L.D., and this is Agent Clint Barton."

Omoi nodded and introduced himself, "I'm Omoi, a ninja from the Hidden Cloud Village, and this is Karui."

"We're here to find Killer Bee."

"Where exactly are we?" Omoi asked.

At that moment, Karui spoke up, "Could I see that video again?"

Sitwell smiled, "Of course."

He handed the tablet over to Karui. She played the video, which showed a younger Killer Bee performing at a concert. There were only two short clips, both of Bee rapping during a performance.

Watching the video, Karui couldn't help but feel amazed.

'So, my teacher was into rapping even as a teenager,' she thought.

While Karui's attention was focused on the video, Sitwell began to explain, "Allow me to briefly explain where you are."

"This is Peru, a country on this planet."

"This is not the world you're familiar with—the ninja world. You're on a different planet altogether."

As he spoke, Sitwell took out a globe and pointed out Peru's location, showing it to Omoi and Karui.

Omoi listened to the explanation and, after a brief pause, said, "I didn't expect the teleportation to send us so far, all the way to another world."

Karui nodded in agreement, "No wonder we couldn't find Killer Bee."

Omoi, recalling something Barton had mentioned earlier, asked, "I heard you say that there are quite a few other ninjas here?"

Sitwell and Barton exchanged glances before Barton replied, "Currently, we know of ninjas from the Hidden Leaf, Hidden Sand, Hidden Mist, Sound Village, and now, the Hidden Cloud Village."

Hearing that four of the five great ninja villages already had shinobi here, Omoi was quite surprised.

However, upon learning there were no Rock Village shinobi, he couldn't help but feel relieved, thinking to himself, 'Perhaps the boss doesn't care much for the Rock Village folks?'

"Are there really no Rock Village ninjas here?" Omoi asked.

Sitwell shook his head. "We're not entirely sure, but as far as we know, there haven't been any Rock Village shinobi."

Omoi nodded thoughtfully. Karui, having finished watching the video, now spoke up, "Where is Killer Bee now?"

It was clear that Karui's mind was entirely focused on finding her teacher.

After seeing his younger self in the video, she was more eager to complete her mission and reunite with him, whether it was to fulfill the orders from the higher-ups or simply to meet her teacher as a young man.

Omoi also nodded. Although he had many thoughts running through his mind, finding Killer Bee was the top priority.

Sitwell pointed to New York on the globe and said, "Killer Bee is currently in New York, which is about 6,302 kilometers from here."

Hearing that it was around 6,300-kilometer journey, Omoi and Karui calculated their speed and realized it wouldn't take them too long to reach.

Karui sighed in relief, "That's not too far, at least."

Sitwell then asked, "Would you like us to arrange transport to bring Killer Bee here, or do you have other plans?"

Omoi looked puzzled, "You can control Killer Bee's movements?"

Sitwell chuckled and shook his head, "No, you've misunderstood. We don't control Killer Bee."

"But recently, we hired him for thirteen concerts, so we know his schedule."

"In New York, we have our people there as well. If we inform Killer Bee that fellow ninjas from his village have come to find him, he should hurry over quickly," Sitwell remarked.

Omoi nodded and then said, "Now that we know Killer Bee's whereabouts, things have become much simpler."

"I have some intel I'd like to discuss with you."

Sitwell didn't refuse. Instead, he smiled and said, "Omoi, you should know that intelligence is as valuable as money."

"When we seek information from you ninjas about your world, we always pay a high price."

"I can share some basic intel about this world with you, but for certain things, I'll need…" Sitwell made a hand gesture, rubbing his fingers together—the universal sign for money.

Seeing this, both Omoi and Karui understood. Karui, with a strange look, asked, "You mean to say the money from our world works here too?"

Sitwell chuckled, "You've misunderstood."

"I don't mean the money from your world. We wouldn't be able to use that."

Karui sneered internally: Even if you wanted it, we don't have any.

Sitwell continued, "I wonder if you brought any physical enhancement serums with you. That would be ideal."

"If not, we can also trade information about your ninja world."

Sitwell didn't propose trading for jutsu or chakra extraction techniques, as he knew that wasn't realistic. But ninja academy students' physical enhancement serums and other intel circulating in the ninja world were acceptable.

Hearing him mention physical enhancement serums, Omoi, who had just arrived, wasn't familiar with what that was.

However, given how casually Sitwell brought it up, he figured it had something to do with other ninjas that had manifested earlier.

Omoi shook his head regretfully, "Sorry, we didn't bring any physical enhancement serums with us. I'm sure you understand why…"

Sitwell sighed, "Ah, of course. Those enhancement serums that even academy students can use, I suppose stronger ninjas like yourselves wouldn't carry them around."

"After all, who carries around a first-grade schoolbook?"

"But surely, you'll return to the ninja world eventually. How about this—when you do, you can bring some enhancement serums back for trade?"

"We don't need much. Based on the intel we provide, you can decide how many vials to give in return."

"What would you like to know?"

Sitwell was mentally calculating, knowing that if Omoi agreed, even if they could secure at least one serum, that would be a big win for S.H.I.E.L.D. And if Omoi didn't care much and brought back several, they would score even more.

Omoi, on the other hand, was pondering. Have physical enhancement serums been reduced to something marketed for academy students? I wonder what exactly they are. Who came up with this?

Still, if it was something academy students used, it couldn't be too expensive, could it?
