Chapter 857 - Chapter 857 : Does She Look Like She Has Any Reasons Now?

Little Jingshi couldn't help but sigh, "Tong Tong is so considerate!"

As soon as he finished his homework, he heard Aunt Huo's voice downstairs.

Little Jingshi didn't even have time to put away his notebooks before he climbed down from his chair, quietly opened the door, and listened to the commotion downstairs.

Sure enough, his father had returned.

Little Jingshi immediately rushed downstairs, "Daddy!"

Fu Yinxiu responded indifferently and went to the bedroom to change clothes.

Little Jingshi puffed out his cheeks and followed him.

"Daddy, after I left at noon today, did you bully Tong Tong?" Little Jingshi asked, looking up with his little face.

Fu Yinxiu unbuttoned his shirt and said coldly, "You're not allowed to see her anymore."

"Why?" Little Jingshi asked indignantly, hands on his hips.

Fu Yinxiu glanced at him, tossed his shirt aside, and put on a comfortable T-shirt, "You two are not suitable."

"In what way are we not suitable?" Little Jingshi retorted, "Tong Tong likes me very much!"

"In every way," Fu Yinxiu said, looking down at Little Jingshi, "There's a huge age gap between you two. And besides—"

Fu Yinxiu's lips pressed into a severe line, his entire body tensing, "Besides, she's not a good woman and doesn't deserve your affection."

"Tong Tong is good, Tong Tong is very good!" Little Jingshi stubbornly insisted.

The little boy stood before Fu Yinxiu, the contrast between their strengths obvious, but Little Jingshi did not back down, stubbornly looking up at Fu Yinxiu.

Fu Yinxiu silently watched Little Jingshi, who still didn't yield.

Fu Yinxiu sneered, "I know more about her than you do."

Little Jingshi suddenly lowered his head, his small hands clenched tightly at his sides, "But I want a mom."

Fu Yinxiu: "..."

"She's not worthy," Fu Yinxiu said coldly, struggling to suppress his emotions.

"But she is my mom, right?" Little Jingshi said quietly, "I feel like she is."

Fu Yinxiu remained silent for a while before stiffly saying, "She is not."

"Then let her be!" Little Jingshi raised his face, looking at Fu Yinxiu with a serious expression.

His big, clear eyes glistened with tears, ready to spill over.

"I said, she's not worthy," Fu Yinxiu said, sounding like he had lost the last bit of his patience.

"Why?" Little Jingshi stubbornly asked.

"No reason, just go back to your room and don't mention her again!" Fu Yinxiu said impatiently.

Little Jingshi refused, tilting his head back and shouting, "I know she's my mom!"

"Who told you that?" Fu Yinxiu squinted, "Bian Daoren?"

Little Jingshi had asked Bian Daoren to investigate Ming Yutong's identity, but how could he have found her?

Before investigating, Bian Daoren had asked him how much Little Jingshi should know or if he should just tell the child they couldn't find her.

Fu Yinxiu didn't even know what he was thinking at the time, allowing Bian Daoren to tell Little Jingshi the truth without hiding anything.

However, Bian Daoren wouldn't have revealed the relationship between Ming Yutong and Little Jingshi.

Fu Yinxiu's sharp gaze fell on Little Jingshi's face.

Little Jingshi, however, wasn't afraid and proudly raised his chin, "I figured it out."

Fu Yinxiu snorted. This kid was getting quite capable.

"Uncle Bian told me Tong Tong's age and blood type. Also, she was in M country seven years ago. My blood type is Rh-negative, and so is hers. This rare blood type isn't something you randomly find in someone!"

"Just based on that?" Fu Yinxiu sneered.

"I believe it,"Little Jingshi insisted.

"If she is your mother, have you ever thought that she abandoned you?" Fu Yinxiu said bluntly.

"She definitely didn't do it on purpose," Little Jingshi remembered the words Ming Yutong had said to him when they first met.

She said that his mother must have had her reasons

Otherwise, how could she bear to leave him?

Perhaps she wanted to see him but couldn't.

She must missed him just as much and wanted to call him her baby. Maybe she's all alone now, with no one to accompany her, just thinking of him to get through the days.

If Tong Tong was his mom, she must have thought that way.

"She must have her reasons. She misses me too," Little Jingshi clenched his fists, gaining confidence from Ming Yutong's words.

"Reasons? Does she look like she has any reasons now?" Fu Yinxiu laughed coldly.

Back then, he went on a mission with "Thorns." The task was exceptionally dangerous, and he barely survived, suffering severe injuries and recuperating at "Thorns"'s headquarters for a long time.

*Thorns" had also completely sealed off his whereabouts to the outside world to prevent any forces from taking advantage of his absence.

When his injuries had just barely healed enough for him to move, he immediately returned to M country to find Ming Yutong, afraid that she might be worried about his absence.

But upon his return, Ming Yutong was nowhere to be found, leaving behind only the infant Little Jingshi.

His parents said she had abandoned the child and returned to her family.

Being the pampered young lady of the Ming family, she wasn't ready to be a mother. Giving him a son was enough to settle her debt to him.

He didn't entirely believe his parents' words, so he went to the hospital to investigate.

Even the doctor who delivered Ming Yutong's baby and the nurse who looked after Little Jingshi confirmed that Ming Yutong had stayed in the hospital for a few days and then left without the child.
