Amaya PoV
We walked for what felt like an hour, the sun beating down on us mercilessly. The sand shifted beneath our feet, a constant, sifting sound. The air was dry and hot, each breath a struggle. Raiki, ever the energetic one, started to lag behind, his earlier excitement replaced by a weary pout.
Noel, who had been quiet until now, suddenly stopped and pointed. "Look."
We followed his gaze. Nestled in the shadow of the largest rock formation was a small, crumbling structure. It was little more than a foundation and a few pillars. But there seemed to be more buried under the sand. The stone was a pale white color, its surface smooth and unweathered, as if it were immune to the ravages of time and the elements.
"Incredible," Amelia whispered, her eyes wide with awe. "It's like it was swallowed by the desert."
Vadim walked over and gasped as soon as he knelt down to touch it. "This stone, it's radiating with a power different from normal stone."
