Kira PoV
Once the room was in order, we made our way to kitchen. Since the mess hall had been turned into a temporary situation room, we had to eat here. The aroma of fresh-baked cookies filled the air, mingling with the scent of the hearty stew simmering on the stove.
Raiki had decided to go the mess hall instead, wanting to see his mom first. He probably had worried earlier. Thankfully, Lady Amaya didn't end up fighting Sir Setsugen.
"Can we have cookies first?" Kina asked, her eyes wide with anticipation.
Eijiro chimed in eagerly, "Yeah! Heroes need their energy!"
I chuckled at their enthusiasm. "Alright, we can have a cookie or two before dinner. But then we have to eat our stew, okay?"
"Okay!" they both shouted in unison, their joy infectious.
