Chapter 65 - Chapter 465: The unlucky Huang Weize!

It wasn't anyone else who was forcibly dragged in. It was Huang Weize who was just causing trouble at the entrance of the Longteng Building and was hit on the head by the glass on the second floor!

At this moment, Huang Weize's head was wrapped with white bandages, resembling an Indian turban, his face pale and frightened.

He had been brought in from the hospital.

Huang Weize was overjoyed when he heard that Mr. Zuo invited him, thinking that it was Mr. Zuo who had learned about his situation and wanted to know more, perhaps even offer assistance... Who would have thought that the two burly men in black would roughly grab him and drag him along, treating him like a criminal. Huang Weize's two bodyguards attempted to intervene, but it was futile. The power difference was staggering, and they were promptly subdued!

During the journey, Huang Weize felt increasingly uneasy, trying to fathom Mr. Zuo's intentions.

Did he want to reprimand him for causing a scene?

Or perhaps he was infuriated by Huang Weize's behavior and wanted to make an example of him?

As he was led to the stage, Huang Weize's suspicion turned into comprehension. The moment he laid eyes on Fang Yan, the expression on his face shifted from confusion to realization, and then transformed into pure embarrassment!

"This time, Huang Weize really messed up!"

"He's being brought here by Mr. Zuo's men... It seems like he's in big trouble!"

"Poor Huang Weize, his reputation is completely ruined today!"

"..."

The astute audience members quickly grasped the situation. Huang Weize's appearance indicated that Mr. Zuo was making a grand gesture by offering him as a "gift" to Fang Yan.

"President Huang, we meet again!"

Of course, Fang Yan didn't miss this opportunity to taunt Huang Weize, who was now disheveled and humiliated, compared to his initial arrogance.

Bang!

The two men in black unceremoniously hauled Huang Weize onto the stage. With a dismissive gesture, they dropped him to the ground. His pitiful state elicited some amused chuckles from the crowd.

Huang Weize, with all eyes on him, felt like shrinking into oblivion. Never in his wildest dreams had he imagined being paraded in such a degrading manner before his peers.

Seeing Huang Weize's plight, Fang Yan couldn't help but smirk, understanding Zuo Yong's intention. His expression conveyed a mixture of amusement and condescension.

Huang Weize, attempting to crawl back into Mr. Zuo's good graces, pleaded desperately for leniency.

"Mr. Fang, this is my way of making amends!"

"I've just been informed that Huang Weize caused a scene in my name, tainting the significance of this grand event. As he was under my influence, it is my duty to address this matter."

Zuo Yong's gaze shifted to Huang Weize on the ground, his tone dispassionate. "Xiao Huang, henceforth, you shall be disassociated from me. Should you choose to exploit my name for your fraudulent schemes again, you shall bear the consequences."

"Mr. Fang, Huang Weize no longer has any connection to me. His fate rests solely in your hands."

Huang Weize felt like he was plummeting into an abyss upon hearing these words. This decree meant he would be perceived as a sworn enemy of Mr. Zuo, and anyone who dared to associate with him would be seen as a foe too.

In an instant, Huang Weize's world crumbled. His anguish was palpable as he glanced at Fang Yan, who now held his destiny in his hands. The memory of a mysterious glass pane crashing down upon him at the entrance of Longteng Building sent shivers down his spine.

"Mr. Fang, this is unacceptable! I've always been loyal to you, and I've never acted against your interests! I beseech your magnanimity, your benevolence! Please spare me!"

Driven by the prospect of losing his life, Huang Weize abandoned all dignity. He hurriedly approached Fang Yan, slapping himself and imploring in a pitiful voice.

It was an utterly humiliating display, with his pride and self-esteem shattered. Yet, his desperation knew no bounds, for his survival was at stake.

"It's getting quite embarrassing, isn't it?"

Fang Yan couldn't help but comment, a wry smile tugging at his lips. He then turned to Long Baiyun in the audience and suggested, "Long Gang, since you're familiar with Huang Weize, why not step forward?"

Long Baiyun's eyes gleamed with anticipation. This was a moment he had long awaited, a chance to exact retribution. Though his desire to personally punish Huang Weize was strong, he quelled it, opting for a more composed approach.

"Mr. Fang, is this... acceptable?"

Suppressing his eagerness, Long Baiyun inquired politely, his gaze fixed on Fang Yan.

"Mr. Zuo has left the decision to me, and I'll handle it as I see fit."

Fang Yan nodded, granting Long Baiyun the authority to proceed.

"In that case, I shall proceed."

Long Baiyun's voice was measured, masking his excitement. He discreetly signaled his subordinates to take action, allowing them to escort Huang Weize off the stage.
