Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: Training Day, Team selection

The next day rolled around as Kate had chewed out Roku for hours for yesterday. "I get that your race is known for their rage and power, but you have to keep it in check. Even though what he did was uncalled for. It doesn't give you a right to have an outburst" Kate said as she had a firm grip Roku's tail and was threatening to break it if she didn't loosen her grip "I know, I know, now please let go of my tail" Roku said as Kate let go. "I don't want to see my friends and my boyfriend fight. It hurts and makes me pick a side, a side which someone ends up hurt" Kate said as Ashen smirked "that goes for you two" Kate said as she walked up to Ashen and grabbed his ear and twisted it until he squealed. "That also means no antagonizing them" Kate said as Ashen tapped and nodded, pleasing for her to let go. It was a weird change of pace for Sathe. He had only met her twice before and she seemed cold, calm, and calculated. But it seemed like the right people could get under her armor and get to her soft side.  They went to the training field and saw that everyone was training in their own ways. Roku and Kate saw Sathe at the practice dummy, using various moves and abilities they did not see him use before. However, he seemed to use every skill and attack perfectly unlike the day before. Roku saw that Sathe's eyes were crimson red as he walked away from the training dummy. "What's up Sathe?" Roku said and Sathe turned to him without a change in expression. "Sathe is busy right now. You are currently talking to his skill [Raphael]" Sathe replied. "Why is he using you instead of being here himself? Training won't do much if he can't do it himself" Kate said. "He can't get stronger anyways. He can't get physically stronger or his skills stronger unless he devours other beings. Now, excuse me, We ordered a bunch of monster cores and Corpses so we will be back" Sathe/Rapheal said as he left. Roku had a bit of a surprised look on his face "not the weirdest thing I've seen him do" Roku said as he'd been called by one of the teachers "Roku, your mother dropped this capsule capsule off for your training" the teacher said as Roku took it and threw it. It then turned into a puff of smoke which revealed a portable gravity chamber. "Nice, now I can get some real training done" Roku thought as he stepped inside and closed the door, setting the gravity to that of 200X earth's gravity. As it was set, Roku nearly dropped to the floor. "For your first exercise, I want 100,000 push ups, then 1000,000 handstand push ups" The teacher said as these were exercises hand picked for his species. Sathe was at a nearby warehouse. The warehouse was filled with monster corpses of various types. There were dragon corpses and demon corpses, to mech corpses and corpses of bandits and adventures. All these corpses had no purpose other than research and collectibles so Sathe brought them all. Including captured souls. "Beelzebub, in the name of the lord of wisdom Rapheal, Devour everything in this building" Sathe/Raphael said as his skill sucked every little thing and didn't leave a single crumb. "Analysis, 572 skills required. 87 unique forms acquired" Sathe said as he was changing to many forms. From dragons, demons, kitsune, hydras, hellhounds, and other monsters, he destroyed the warehouse before he finished. He left to go back to school. After a few hours everyone moved onto a mission debriefing . "You'll be put into teams of four. One captain, the vice captain, and two soldiers. The one who has displayed the most skill will be the captain. As for your mission, it will depend upon the group. For example. Ashen Keyaru, Kate Gremory, Son Roku Briefs, and lastly Sathe Tempest. You will be called Dagger Company, and your first mission is class S" the teacher said as Roku downed a giant jug of water. "Well that's interesting, but not the worst thing that could have happened" Roku thought as he wiped sweat from his forehead. "Your first mision is to dispatch the warped and empowered version of janemba and Kid Buu from timeline XS-657 region 12, in universe 7, and bring back samples of their Dna for testing" the teacher said as he handed each of them a sheet that listed our details of their mission. "Hm. Warped. Isn't there a risk of infection for those without counter measures?" Sathe asked.the teacher threw 4 sliver rings with a silver x in the middle of them "these are time rings supplied by the kai of that timeline, they've been adjusted to keep you risk free from infection. If need be you can retreat to another timeline with them" the teacher said. "Nice" Sathe said as he absorbed his ring and gave the rest to the others. "Also, make sure to keep them away from each other. If Buu absorbs Janmeba it'd be disastrous" the teacher said as he talked to other groups. "No problem for me. My [Azeroth] is stronger. If push comes to shove, it will be like when my father had to eat the orc lord. I'm a little curious though, why does the emergency timeline jump? Wouldn't it be safer to teleport us back here?" Sathe said. The teacher turned to him with a deadly stare "fuck no, Buu was sucha  problem in the main timeline that he was causally blowing up galaxies because he was hungry, each galaxy having their own timeline and what not. No offense, but we aexpecting you to fight all together as a collective rather than 1 on 1s with that thing. Having it here puts everyone else at risk, giving us another All for Buu situation" the teacher said. "I don't understand why they gave this job to a bunch of seniors but why not. I want to test some stuff out anyway" Sathe said before he ate his copy of the papers. "It's because none of your parents were half as strong at your age, aside from a few of you. You were born with nay unlimited potential . And your parents don't have time to be going back and forth to fight threats for other people" the teacher said. "I'm not going to say anything on the subject. Let's just get this done. I'm expecting a friend to come back soon" Sathe said. 'Your team is dismissed and will report for this mission at 9:00 PM sharp tonight" the teacher said as they walked out.
