"I'm home!" Cy said as she opened the door. "Ready to go shopping?"
En practically hissed as he jumped from behind the sofa. Did the sound of the door startle him?
"Sorry," Cyan whispered, frowning.
Betty adjusted the strap of her purse on her shoulder. "Let's go!"
Hannah set her project aside and got up from the sofa.
Betty smiled at En like she was waiting for something.
"Tuna," En muttered, not looking up from his console.
How did she do that? Telepathy was made-up. Still, just what kind of bond did those two have?
Cyan blinked as she got closer. He seemed to be watching some kind of video. Was he piloting a drone?
"What are you doing?" Cy asked, leaning her head forward to get a better look.
En scooted away like Berry would whenever someone invaded her personal space. Especially when that person wasn't on her list of favorite people.
Hannah tapped her shoulder. "Let him be."
Why did she do so much better with Berry than she did with these Cat boys?
