Chapter 626 - Chapter 626: Down With the King, Part 2

"GET THEM!! GET THEM, MAWKIN!!! THEY'RE GOING TO KILL US! THEY'RE SOZO'S PROBLEMS, AREN'T THEY? YOU'RE NOT JUST GONNA LET THEM GET AWAY WITH TAKING YOUR POTENTIAL ALLY DOWN! THEY'RE GONNA GO FOR YOU NEXT IF YOU JUST STAND THERE!! YOU'RE UNDER MY BANNER TOO, AREN'T YOU!?" His pleads were being nauseating, yet effective as Mawkin began to send his waves of straw at the trio, sensing their hostility and tethering everyone at their very souls. Stolas was used to such a feeling, yet his eyes widen nonetheless, annoyed that he was being once again bound to someone else and being restrained from being able to fight back properly. The King can't help but smile and be relieved that someone was still able to back him, quickly scooting himself to replace his brittle body with fresh clay, regaining back such a form as he kept talking. "THANK YOU! Sheesh... Out of all the people who've served me, at least YOU have the common sense in understanding orders. Koina I can at least understand, that's my fault for trusting others in doing their job properly and making sure she gets some upgrades after ditching such Orochi hide. Barklode, however, failed to even do THAT! I swear, I think he was just busy with the torture methods he made in his little dungeon than putting any effort in making my perfect 'Sun.' Dahak and Majora might as well be dead weight, while we're at it."

"Wait what??" The boys asked in unison, looking at each other in confusion. Koina could barely care as she tried to charge ahead, only for a quick gut punch to send both her and the children flying back, the linked feeling coming all at once as they were flooded such visceral emotion.

Wyvios kept talking, once he got a proper hold of his form and see the Dhampir be by his side. "No, yeah, everyone is a lunatic here! It's as bad as Orochi with how many people keep trying to kill one another! Aside from judging their appearance, this whole world wants nothing more than to rip at each other's throats at the last moment! Had I hold the world upon my hands, we would've been at peace! I would've led all of you in such misshapen, monstrous forms. We would band together as one big mass of beasts, all with a simple purpose, a needed purpose: To live! It's why I trust the monsters more than anything to act as my extent, my personal hands even. Could never want to get my hands dirty." The last word was a blatant lie, as his hands were already twitching, ready to take someone's life by the second. He was just powerless without the use of the sun, only reliant on a defensive style magic and a group that he isn't aware were leaving by different means. The mockery he heard before bursts into laughter, catching him off-guard, looking around to try and find the voice, only letting himself look crazy before everyone.

Nobody knew what was happening in the Bunker, Wyvios especially.

KRASHHH!!!

Another exposure to the world. The crack across the land came from the other side, a massive tower-like beast floating upwards, four pillars to act as legs, a massive body in the center, a visual camera for an eye as it ascends. It whirrs coolly, its sounds echoing across the area, threatening to break the 'sky' with its large size, lunging towards the barrier and letting it come down in panels and pieces, leaving nothing behind. "No... NO, NO, NO, NO!!! MAJORA, YOU BACKSTABBING JUDAS!!!!" He'd scream as he'd try to go after it, seeing Stolas try to shoot another shot to catch him off guard, with Mawkin forced to play defense and catch the star coming ahead. Such a save, however, would also be exploited as he'd let it blow up and push the Dhampir back, burning his skin in the process as he was used as a projectile, sending the two into a building. Sure, they'd share the same pain again, but it was a worthwhile effort as the 'sky' crumbled away, the real sun finally being visible again, the citizens eyeing it and raising a panic, going all over the place once more.

"Seems you don't like it when things don't go according to plan, huh?" Stolas asked, getting himself up and rushing ahead, watching Koina follow behind and even be at equal pace, her rage visible in her gaze. "You really AREN'T a Fighter! Just a bystander with a broken magic style! You know how many people would've been using that to fight back by now? You're just using it as a shell at this point! You're not even a real MAN, are yah?!"

"SHUT UP!! WHO SAID THAT!? I'LL KILL YOU, WHOEVER SAID THAT!!"

"I'M RIGHT HERE, THEN! FOLLOW MY VOICE AND THROW A PUNCH AT IT! SEE WHAT HAPPENS!! IT'S NOT CHANGING THE FACT YOU'RE LOSING!!!" Such a taunt caused the ground to morph, spikes raised by the clay and attempting to catch Stolas in a dough-like flytrap. The Avian's Zodiac Man merely expanded out into Aquarius and flood the field again, burning off the clay and charging straight for the voice, watching as Koina threw her own punch, coating it with her breath and mingling it with her dagger. He's never expected her to do such a thing, watching it culminate into a massive iceberg that erupts from the ground, blasting through and burying him within the frost. Such temperatures would provide a cool air across Kabanaska, letting it bask back into the ground, with everyone realizing such would give back the clay's pliability with that much amount of moisture. Zazel would try to fire Asmodeus and burn through it, but Mawkin would step in, taking the shot directly, a spear right into his very heart.

Such dedication, as the straw flew across and blown away, unfazed, unwavered. Even with a gaping hole, he chose to stand firm, even as blood began to dribble down his mouth.
