Chapter 463 - Chapter 463: Marionette

Outside, Brunono would toss his cigar away as he'd set up his armor, knowing that he needs to be a bit more serious with his competition. Steam exhaled out from the puppet, as well as more strings, slowly being extended to the sky. Zazel was, at first, confused, before seeing something form above him. The Heavens' Hands themselves, pure white, arched fingers as Brunono made the strings around his own hands form into proper claws. "Marionette. That's my 'Final Gambit', as people call it." He'd start, as he'd let the hands begin its operation. Rather than yanking him around like a doll, the fingers began to animate, twitching and bending, letting Leon lunge forward automatically. Zazel would allow Furfur to block the strike, electric sparks blinding the man, yet the hands still operate, quickly shifting in direction and allowing him to claw deep into the Demon's flesh, nearly disemboweling the child.

Zazel, not trying to find out what else it can do, would go a step further as well, creating the Sigil of Asmodeus and summon it, the dragon soaring up above in order to strike at both the strings and the hand that commands him. On one hand, the strings do indeed sever and force Brunono to react again, aiming for a slash across the child's chest, prevented by another block with Furfur. On the other, however, the white hand that guides the strings merely phased out, almost as if it was a cloud, essentially doing nothing against the floating appendage. He could see as it reformed more strings that comes down, attempting to have the Dragon burn it to ash. What he didn't expect was for the strings to turn around and tether themselves onto it, fusing with its magma-like body, controlling the beast as a result. The hand pulses as it rips itself apart, creating two instead, both possessing less strings than before, but now allows it to freely control the beast. The Dragon would be forced to swoop down and blast down the Demon, allowing Zazel to summon its rider to sever those strings and return it back to its markings.

Even if the blaze connects, it didn't do much towards the Demon. "Resistance to hellfire?" Brunono asked, as he'd try to set up his strings into a wire in order to wrap around and slice Zazel's head off.

"More like Immunity." Zazel would correct, as he'd allow that very immunity to such heat to push himself into the Dragon's rampage, forcing Brunono to back off as the Demon creates another sigil with Eligos, summoning it through the scorched earth and letting it trail after the blaze, catching its warmth and hoping to merge it with the ground to set up a proper control of the battlefield.

Brunono would merely extend that very wire and untied it, acting as a whip instead, mixing it with the flames in order to strike down at the living sigil below, cutting through the ground and causing the fire to spread further. Wild, wicked strokes, as if he was an abstract artist. The Demon can't help but be stunned at how much damage he is willing to take, having him keep away as much as possible, before seeing the hand that holds the Dragon attempt to strike down all the same. Zazel would attempt to run across and create a sigil to climb over, as well as making Sabnock to wield a blade in order to sever the strings again, hoping with the speed and direction, it would make Asmodeus' dragon into a living bullet against the Debt Collector. Alas, even though it connected, Leon would have his strings catch the dragon and force it back down, letting the second hand tether back onto the beast. The way his movements behaved felt autonomous, as if he isn't thinking much of the battle at all, and is more focused on finding the child. He recalled well about Kokonen's description for how he fought, but he'd never imagine it would be to this extent.

KA-BOOM!!!

A massive hole, nay, multiple, across the Shop. Smaller ones to indicate damage, both on the roof and the entrance. Brunono would look over to see what was happening, stunned to see the two still alive after Juna's and Koske's attacks. "You weren't kidding! They aren't dead yet!" He'd yell as he'd allow the Dragon to turn tail again and attack back at its summoner. Zazel would jump over once more, though now chooses to run across the Dragon's back and casting Asmodeus, a blast of flame in order to catch and drop Brunono from the air. The Debt Collector merely lets the hand tethering him rise, making him 'jump' out of the way.

"How long are you gonna stay attached to those hands?? They gotta spend a lot of energy to keep up.." Zazel asked himself, trying to measure out how much has it been since they were outside, but Brunono was quick on answering with another attack, unwinding the strings and hurling at the Demon as projectiles.

"What's the matter, Goetia Boy? Can't keep up with the adults?? Let me lower the bar for you, then!" Brunono taunted as he'd send out his own strings and tethered it with the hand at the top, forcing the former to fall. Spreading such threads and connecting them would act as a personal barbed wire, quick to slash off the Dragon's wings as collateral. Zazel would try to cast Focalor and spew out a torrent of water, diving straight back down and dodging the weapon. At first, it felt successful, but was immediately deterred when, upon landing, Brunono swung the hand across the ground, allowing it to phase through. Shifting the strings and letting him tether the hand's onto his own, he'd puppeteer that very hand to aim for a quick hook across the child's jaw, sending him across his own sea and forcing him back up, coughing up some water due to accidental intake. Brunono would then untether his strings and retether them back on the Demon, holding him in place as he'd aim for a dropkick across his skull.

KRACC!!!!

Instant hit, the force behind blasting off the child and parting the white hand once more, forcing him to roll over at the ground, blood staining the grass.
