"YOU'RE IN A WAR WITH BOTH OF 'EM!?!?"
Harvard would chuckle a bit as he'd explain such a situation, watching the poor man learn such a debacle that spanned in a single day, much less a week ago. Stolas would try to tap on one of his patterns to summon a constellation, Canis minor, to go around and dry up the droplets, seeing the magic the man possessed. As they were held down, he and Zazel both assumed it must've been a gravitational force, with the latter having more experience and trying to use a sigil to de-spell it. What they didn't noticed, however, was that it was actually a set of arrows. Arrows formed from the droplets that put them down at a specific direction.
Arrow Magic.
The demons were a bit baffled by such a discovery, their minds wandering to think of Arrows as being the actual weapon itself. Stolas came with such a discovery through his encounter with Anne, whilst Zazel draws his from a fight in the Mangroves. "Well I's be damned. Either you boys are the most stupidest people I's ever seen, or the most spunky. It's death if you'd ever face the King of Nihil, but the King of All as WELL?! Simultaneously??!" The boys nodded at the man's confusion, having him take out a handkerchief and wipe the sweat off his forehead. "You braver than me, that's for sure."
"We even allied with them too! It's a busy day!" Tsukiya's positivity to the situation didn't help at all with such context, as the man was quick on de-casting his own arrows, letting the group follow.
"If you's be serious about doin' such a war, you better need a good restin' place, then. Off in the east would be a kingdom. Orochi is the name. Got a whole skull of the beast acting as the fortress of it all. Cities lined up on the spinal chord, rib cage, arm bones, all of that. Tail's the docks. Can't miss it."
"THERE'S A KINGDOM BUILT ON A DRAGON CORPSE!?" Zazel would scream, stunned to think about how someone was able to make such a thing possible.
"Mhm! Bes' part is, it's home to the most fearsome hunters in the block! You ever wanna hire a bounty hunter? That place be your best bet! Speakin' of, who are you folks anyway?"
"O-Oh. Ah...Zazel Cal'cul. My friends are Solomon, Stolas, and Harvard."
"Balki! Balki Boneshark! Home of the Shark Springs of the Omega-. . . Hol' on, you said Harvard?"
The boys grew anxious, as they looked towards each other. "Yeeeeeeeeeeah?"
Silence was made as the man closed his eyes and thought to himself, pondering where did he recalled such a name. He'd held his hand up to have a moment, rushing himself straight towards a small shack, newspapers lined up against the wall. The boys can't help but follow the man, with Harvard even noticing a small cupboard of snacks, a jar of cookies on the bottom shelf. As he'd take it and ate a couple, Balki was rigorous in examining the papers, each one with a different headline.
"SEA MONSTER DOWNED BY KHEPROS! LEGACY HAS BEEN BUILT ON THIS DAY!"
"MASSIVE DESTRUCTION ON THE WITCH HOUR! RUMORS SPECULATED THE DEVIL WAS INVOLVED!"
"CATASTROPHE ON SALVANDI DOCKS! AN EXPLOSIVE SCENE TAKES AN IRON HOLD ON THE SHIPS!"
"MASS ARSON FOUND NEAR THE FORESTS OF OAKING! MASS FLOOD FOUND AFTERWARDS! A SIGN FROM HEAVEN TO KEEP AT BAY!"
Harvard went pale as he saw such recordings, immediately recognizing what the man was thinking. Stolas would ready a star in case, as well as Zazel's sigil and Solomon's Plague. As Balki kept investigating, his eyes widened upon seeing the name in the papers, the ones linked to them all.
Harvard Helsing.
"HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!?!??!?!?!" A bellowed scream that parted the waters, his hands shaking and his body sweating like mad, his eyes darting around to see if such papers were old and outdated, yet the date remained the same.
The very year: 1999.
"You okay, man?" Harvard asked, his fear for himself converting to worry for the individual, as Balki was quick to turn around.
"Y-Y-Y-YOU!! YOU! YOU, YOU, YOU, YOU, YOU!!" His heart was beating like mad, his fingers quivering as he pointed at the boy, his innocence still present as he'd ate a cookie, his head tilting like a cat to display his concern and curiosity. "YOU'RE A HELSIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIING!?"
"Yeaaah? That a problem?"
The man would be on his knees, his mind wavering, his body slumped over on the ground. "We have 2 of the strongest kings.... and a descendant of one of the most horrifying bounty hunters to date.... in a war with each other. Oh god, I'm gonna die." He'd mumble, as Zazel would take notice of a nearby map buried with all the papers, a physical source to find where they needed to go. "Just take it... I's be better off not bein' 'nvolved with any of this. Tell t'at ol' coot Vial that he can take me springs if I's die off."
"Vial? Oh! We actually made him young! We'll let him know still!"
"EH!?! YOUNGER!?!? THE BLOODY HELL DID YOU-" His question would not be answered, as the boys would immediately depart, map and cookies in tow, watching as the descendants waved goodbye to the people, as he is left stunned by such a revelation. Just as they left, the man was quick on closing up his springs, setting up arrows to act as a barrier in the air, as he'd pack his things. As he did, he'd see a small silhouette off in the distance. Worried, he'd hide himself into his shack, hoping the figure hasn't spotted him. A knock on the door was made, as he'd try to break apart one of the walls and plant his arrows, ready to have it be thrown as a Javelin straight into their stomach. As soon as the door opened, however, he stopped himself.
"HAVE YOU SEEN A BUNCH OF KIDS!? ONE OF THEM WITH A BIRD'S HEAD!?" The person asked, leaving Balki to be in tears.
"VIALLLL!! WHAT IS GOING ON HERE, MAAAAAN!!" He'd beg, his worries visible. He was having a rough day once he learned of such news, his bags already packed, wanting to leave the circle as far as he could.
