Chapter 1045 - Chapter 1045: Parting and Departure

"Human United Government Officially Established"

In the fifty-third year of Muria's tenure as the Douglas Family head, all major media outlets erupted with variations of this headline. A monumental event had just taken place: the Shining Silver Empire, the Starry Church, and the Purple Thorn Federation—the three dominant human powers—had simultaneously announced the dissolution of their respective governments to form a united global government. All of humanity was now under a single banner, breathing the same air, sharing the same fate, striving together for progress and prosperity.

The news was earth-shattering for the world. Most ordinary people had never imagined that their own nations would suddenly declare their disbandment. Even more astonishing was the subsequent unification of the three hegemonic powers into one collective entity.

For many, it was clear that there was an unseen force pulling the strings. In truth, they were right. Anyone observant enough could discern the mysterious figures standing behind these three powers. After all, these individuals had made no significant effort to conceal their influence at this point.

As a result, bold media outlets began to dig into the history of these mysterious figures—Muria's family in their reincarnated forms. Stories about them were quickly unearthed and published. There was no shortage of intelligent minds in the world.

Thus, details about the former Imperial Grand Marshal and Martial Sovereign Anselor, the Starry Church's Star Goddess Raya, and the youngest and most brilliant Douglas Family head, Muria (or Gelos), began circulating widely. Their pasts were dissected with exhaustive detail, analyzed for clues.

With no one suppressing or censoring the information, the media grew bolder in their reporting. Articles about these three figures—the masterminds behind the dismantling of the three hegemonic powers—were published without restraint.

Yet, even as the world's attention fixated on these three individuals, no one could locate them. Despite fervent efforts to track them down for interviews, these three seemed to have vanished from the world entirely, leaving no trace.

At that very moment, the three enigmatic figures—whose true nature was beginning to be unraveled by the people of this world—were gathered together. Their time in this world was coming to an end.

On a desolate desert plain, Muria stood in midair, gazing down at the barren landscape. With a soft sigh, he said, "Every last issue has been resolved. It's time for us to leave."

"Indeed," replied Anselor, who stood beside him. Compared to Muria, whose eyes still held a trace of reluctance, Anselor appeared much calmer. He had already fought every worthy opponent in this world. There was nothing left for him to regret.

"Release your true forms," said the Golden Dragon Lady. "Don't worry. At our level, this world won't suppress us anymore. We can move freely here for a while."

Hearing this, the true body of Muria—dormant in the heart of his reincarnated body for nearly eighty years—opened its eyes. It transformed into a brilliant beam of light and emerged from his mortal shell. He no longer needed the reincarnated body as a shield.

"Hah!"

Muria's true form, now freed, stretched its immense frame in the sky. He exhaled a breath, and the world responded. Winds howled, clouds swirled, and the sky darkened as if bowing to his presence.

Above him, lightning flickered wildly in the storm-laden skies, but none dared strike him. This was as the Golden Dragon Lady had said: the world bore them no hostility anymore. They had done too much for it, and now it accepted their presence, even their true forms.

As Muria revealed himself, another colossal figure emerged nearby—a Titan nearly as large as him. This was none other than his father, Anselor, in his true form.

Simultaneously, a majestic golden Dragon King appeared in the sky, her form partially veiled by mist, exuding an air of regal mystery. This was, of course, the Golden Dragon Lady herself.

"Give me a moment," Muria said, glancing toward the distance. His gaze was fixed on the direction of the Douglas Family estate.

"Go quickly and return," the Golden Dragon Lady said in her graceful voice. "This is only a medium-sized world. While it doesn't oppose us, the time we can remain here is still limited."

Though the three Epic-level beings had suppressed their power to the bare minimum, the region around them was already destabilizing. Elements and gravity were going haywire, while sand and debris began floating into the air.

Space itself warped and cracked, with rifts appearing sporadically around the three. This was the effect of simply existing as an Epic—such beings posed an inherent threat to any world. The longer they stayed, the greater the damage they would cause.

While this world tolerated them for their contributions, the tolerance had its limits.

"Fifteen minutes," Muria said, lowering his gaze to his mortal reincarnation. The heroic, awe-inspiring body now stood lifeless, its eyes vacant, resembling a husk.

This state, caused by Muria withdrawing his consciousness, was even worse than that of a comatose person. While a comatose individual might wake someday, this body would never move again unless Muria chose to reintegrate his consciousness into it.

After a moment's pause, Muria split a portion of his awareness and returned to the mortal shell. Its previously dull eyes suddenly brightened, brimming with vitality. The reincarnated body raised its head to meet the gaze of its true form.

Then, its figure began to emit a soft, hazy white light. Pure martial energy surged out, spreading across the sky. Even in the presence of the three Epics, Muria's mortal form held its own radiance.

In this world, Muria had not wasted his time. While mastering the rules of this world's manifestation of avatars, he had also advanced far along the martial path, achieving a level of perfection unmatched by anyone else here.

The surging martial energy soon formed a vast ocean of pure white around his reincarnated body. As the energy reached its peak, the body itself began to dissolve into the ocean, becoming one with it.

"You've truly mastered martial arts to an extraordinary degree. In this world, you'd be considered a grandmaster of the highest order," the Golden Dragon Lady remarked with admiration.

Anselor, standing silently nearby, glanced at his own reincarnated body. Unlike Muria's, his mortal form had not developed an endless reservoir of energy. Instead, he had channeled everything into crafting an indestructible, immortal body—the strongest physical vessel in this world, impervious to any harm.

Meanwhile, Muria's ocean of martial energy began to shift, dotted with points of light that shimmered like stars. However, this time, these stars didn't form divine beasts but instead coalesced into numerous figures identical to Muria's mortal appearance.

As each martial avatar took shape, they broke away from the ocean and flew toward the Douglas Family estate.

At a luxurious villa in the residential district for Douglas Family members, a graceful woman sat in a reclining chair, gazing blankly at the sky. Though faint crow's feet lined her eyes, her fair complexion and elegant demeanor still shone through. Yet her heart was heavy with a profound sense of emptiness that had left her restless for days.

"Jelos!" she murmured softly, calling out the name that had left her feeling so lost. Her eyes were filled with confusion, unsure of how to ease the void within her.

"I'm here," came a familiar voice from behind her. Startled, the woman sat up abruptly and turned around. There, standing before her, was a youth whose appearance perfectly matched the image of her son etched in her memory.

"Jelos, where have you been all this time? Do you know how worried I've been? Even if you wanted to leave, you should have at least said something!"

Tears welled up in her eyes as she rushed forward and embraced the youth tightly, sobbing uncontrollably.

Though she could sense something unusual about him, the warmth he exuded made her cling to him desperately. Yet, as her hands clung to his form, she noticed the absence of any true vitality—no heartbeat, no breath of life.

"Don't worry. Everything is fine now. I'll stay with you from now on," the martial avatar murmured, softly comforting Susanna as she wept in his arms.

In the Douglas Family estate's administrative office, a poised young woman exuded the grace of someone who had fully embraced her responsibilities. After finishing her duties for the day, she sat back to rest, her eyes gradually losing focus as her thoughts wandered.

"What are you thinking about?" a familiar voice suddenly asked.

Startled, the woman looked up and saw a smiling figure that brought immense joy to her heart. "Brother!" she exclaimed. "You're back! That's wonderful. Please, take back the position of family head. I'm not ready for it yet."

"You're more than capable of leading the family," the martial avatar replied gently. "I've already left. This is just a manifestation of my martial energy. I trust you to fulfill the responsibilities I've entrusted to you. Don't be afraid—I'll remain by your side, always."
