"Was it Luke?" Anna asked the moment I returned to the bench.
"No it's not, I think he's going to call once he arrives. I shouldn't be bothering strangers." I replied and Anna chuckled. Before I chased after Hassan, I had lied about spotting Luke somewhere just to get away from Anna without her getting suspicious of my actions.
My lie was believable because Luke was actually coming into the city today. The month was nearly over, and he would be arriving soon with the company's monthly report. Sooner or later I would have to return to London to handle things on my own, but before then I had promised myself to make up with Amelie.
From the brief reports Luke sent me during the weekends, things were going pretty well back in Europe. The company was doing well, and so far our income has been growing exponentially. I felt bad having to leave all my responsibilities for Luke to handle, however, he was in support of me making up with Amelie, so he didn't really complain.
