A translucent red light appeared on Vivian's body which illuminated the room for a split moment before finally disappearing, leaving only her black eyes with yellow irises to glow in the dark.
The room was very plain. It stood about 12ft tall and 10ft wide, the walls were made out of cement and stones without any finishing, the floor was nothing but plain dirt with a single square platform made out of cement in the middle, and there were no windows or holes except for a small door in front of her. On the door, there were nails to hang clothes and whatnot. And on the corner next to the door, there was also a small coffee table with a couple of books and papers on top of it.
Vivian had her hair tied into a bun but wasn't naked. She was wearing a white shirt and brown pants while sitting down on top of the square platform made out of cement in the middle of the room and holding a folder with some papers inside it.
The topic she was reading was some notes she compiled from rummaging through the records inside her office and also from the shared office.

Everyone turned to him.
"Thank you for yours and Guard Arve's hard work as always, Guard Marlon," Lennon said and smiled.
In this border checkpoint, there were 5 Priests, 5 Knights and 15 Guards. Arve was the Head Chef while Marlon was the Assistant Chef in charge of cooking for the Priests.
"I second that," Anthony said and smiled.
"Thank you," Vivian said and smiled.
Marlon saluted.
"Thank you for your kinds words, Honored Priest High Lieutenant, Honored Priestess Inquisitor and Honored Priest Lieutenant. It's always a pleasure to serve you all."
As Marlon was setting out the plates, spoons, knives, forks, cups, glasses and napkins first, and then the drinks and dishes, Finley, whose hair was still wet, climbed down the stairs and entered the dining room.
"Good morning, Sister Inquisitor," he said and smiled.
"Good morning too, Brother Sergeant," Vivian said and smiled.
Finley grabbed a seat and turned to Marlon.
"The breakfast looks delicious as always, Guard Marlon," he said and smiled.
Marlon stopped and turned to him before saluting.
"Thank you for your kinds words, Honored Priest Sergeant," he said and then resumed setting up the table.
"Sister Jua-- High Sergeant Juana isn't yet done feeding her Draghorn?" Anthony asked.
Truth be told, they made an unspoken agreement not to address each other with their ranks during off-duty in order to build a closer bond with each other. However, ever since the incident between Vivian and Lamont happened and all the other things, they decided to act accordingly whenever Vivian is around.
In fact, it wasn't far-fetched to say that they were now completely terrified of her because just 4 days ago, she murdered an Aristocratic Noble, arrested 2 Aristocratic Nobles, ordered to have a Noble have his arms and legs broken, ordered the execution of a group of Mercenaries, and openly challenged and threatened Lennon in front of everyone.
Just the idea of murdering an Aristocratic Noble was simply out of their imagination. Challenging an Aristocratic Noble was already something unheard of -- only powerful people and mad people would do such a thing. So to kill 1 and then arrest 2 was so incomprehensible.
With that being said, some of the Guards, although they would never say it, some of them can't wait to go home after their contract and tell everyone they knew that they participated in murdering an Aristocratic Noble and arresting two Aristocratic Nobles. To them, as Commoners, that is a story worth several lifetimes of free drinks.
Needless to say, it was everyone's first time witnessing and participating in killing and arresting an Aristocratic Noble.
"I can go check on Sister High Sergeant Juana," Finley said.
Anthony shook his head.
"It's fine. I was just making small talk," he said and picked up his cup.
Sip.
"Ah, I see."
Anthony placed his cup down.
"I don't know much about animal and monster rearing, but I heard that it's important for owners to develop a tight bond with their animal or monster pet. They say that it allows them to work more efficiently with each other."
Finley nodded.
"That's true. In my first and second Holy Crusade, I was part of the Air Division and I did the same thing thing every morning and afternoon."
"Right, you mentioned that before."
Marlon was finally done setting the table and dishes.
"Honored Priest High Lieutenant, Honored Priestess Inquisitor, Honored Priest Lieutenant and Honored Priest Sergeant, please enjoy your meal," he said and bowed before leaving with the tray cart.
Lennon swept his gaze at everyone for a moment before finally picking up a fork.
Ting, ting.
He softly tapped it against a glass and then placed it down.
"May I have everyone's attention please," he said and picked up the glass.
Everyone turned and picked up their glass.
"Brothers and sister, the God of Light not only blessed us with another beautiful day but has also blessed us with this bountiful meal that we could share together. Let us thank the God of Light for all these blessings and may He watch over all of us as always!" he said and then took a sip before putting his glass down and then eating.
"May the God of Light watch over all of us as always!" they replied and did the same.
Vooom!
Juana entered the dining room and then saluted.
"Brothers and Sister, please forgive me for being late…! There was an emergency at the stable with one of the animals but it's already taken care of….!"
Anthony and Finley secretly glanced at Vivian who didn't say anything and was quietly eating.
Lennon nodded with a smile.
"We understand, Sister High Sergeant," he said and then gestured to the remaining chair that had food and drinks in front of it. "Please join us."
Juana relaxed and then secretly glanced at Vivian before stepping forward.
"Thank you, Brother High Lieutenant."
She sat down, picked up her glass and raised it.
"I thank the God of Light for this beautiful day and bountiful breakfast, and may He watch over all of us for the rest of the day!"
She took a sip and then placed the glass down before finally eating.
"So what happened with one of the animals?" Anthony asked.
Truth be told, it wasn't that Anthony was interrogating her or anything. But since they were stuck in the middle of nowhere together for 6 months due to their Holy Crusade Contract and they can't leave the station unless they're on a Field Mission, things can get a bit boring. So anything that happens out of the norm from their daily routine, regardless if it was big or small, would definitely be a subject to be discussed at length that involves theories, conspiracies and etc.
Vivian picked up her glass and took a sip to help her swallow her food before turning to Juana.
"Sister Higher Sergeant."
Juan flinched and then quickly swallowed her food before turning to her.
"Yes, Sister Inquisitor? Is there anything I can help you with? Consider it done."
Vivian looked at her with a deadpan expression behind her half-mask for a moment before flashing a very warm and kind smile.
"If you don't mind, I was hoping you could do me a favor. I would like to have a word with you, Knight Sergeant Arabella and Guard Sonia at my office at 8:00 a.m. or anytime that you 3 are available. Don't worry, it would be a very short meeting about female health."
Juana nodded a couple of times and then a serious expression flashed across her face.
"We will be there before 8:00 a.m. no matter what, Sister Inquisitor. I swear to the God of Light."
Vivian's jaw dropped.
"I see… Thank you…"
