The world seems cruel to those who try to be good even when they know people wouldn't see the good they did but mistakes made out of anger. a thousand good is being written off for just one single bad which was a mistake.
Medusa is back on earth after another ten years of waiting and this time she didn't come alone , she came with someone.
First year Lilith had expected a daughter but had a son, same thing happened when she conceived again . three sons and yet it didn't look like Medusa is ready to come here .
She almost gave up after the fourth pregnancy which delivered a boy and then Medusa finally decided to come after years of waiting.
She came with thunder , shaking all surroundings. announcing that she was back to take over ,to collect what she believed was rightly hers .
This time she looked more beautiful than she was before , the red hair had the color of blood making her look more dangerous but calm . maybe she had come back this time with the understanding that you can't please everyone and if you try to ,you will end up displeasing yourself.
" Ciara!! , Amber !!" Lilith shouted the names ." now drop your swords it's time for lessons "
" could we stay her for a while please, we are being taught a new skill and I won't master it if we don't practice it a little bit longer" she said still holding the sword firmly.
" no ,you will continue tomorrow" Amber had obediently dropped hers waiting for Ciara to do same but she wasn't ready to .
" but mother...." she tried arguing but was cut short.
" oh please do not start now , it's time you go study. do as I say and let there be peace " Ciara reluctantly dropped the wooden sword with a sad face and left without turning back .
After lessons, she stood staring outside through the window while Amber sat on the bed admiring her painting.
" this one is beautiful and well painted than others " Amber slowly touched it.
" you've been saying that to all painting" Ciara said without turning to stare .
" the world is a battlefield" she read .
" it is , sleeping and waking up shows victory over death for that night . and then the morning comes struggles begin , you battling again to survive"
" you aren't struggling to survive,you are always indoors not like most people in the market were we visited last time and the poor who are battling for survival, neither are you sick ".
" we won't stay indoor for ever , no matter where you are once you are breathing this air you are in a battlefield already without going out " Amber slowly dropped the painting and stretched herself on the bed .
" you and your words that has no meaning" She stood up sat in front of the mirror and combed her hair slowly.
" they will one day " the word echoed as the now grown up Amber held same painting she held back then when she was fifteen.
" do you hear what father did " she stared up at Ciara.
" there is war "
" and who is creating one " she played with her fingers.
" our father the king " .
" what kingdom ?" she asked not having any kingdom in mind .
" the south" Ciara stopped and frowned.
" how could he " she stood up .
" he believes we could win the battle against them ".
" does he even knows what his doing ?, two daughters against ten men . how does he thinks it's possible and what did that kingdom do to him ".
" only him knows , remember he needs more treasure . all he dreams to be is the richest king "
" Then he put people's life at risk, does he know what will happen to the soldiers,the people of this kingdom are not safe "
" and he does not care "
" we will do something about this ,I won't be going to a war I know that we will come back defeated"
" if he will listen, his blinded by greed and it's destroying him without knowing" there was a knock on the door .
" you may come in " Ciara sat .
" my lady , his highness the king asked to see you " the guard who walked in said .
" we are on our way" Amber told him .
" I don't feel like seeing him now " she said loudly immediately the guard walked out.
" why ? , but you have to cause he sent for you and can't just stay back when there's nothing important that you are doing" Ciara followed her outside.
