Lucas sat on the grass with his eyes closed as he enjoyed the calm evening breeze and the sound the water made .
He already felt her presence but didn't turn neither did he ooen his eyes , when she had sent a letter to see him . he was surprised caused he had told her to just call his name and he will be there .
" Lucas " she tapped him gently.
" hmmm " he opened his eyes .
" you came " he could feel that she was uncomfortable.
" yes I received a letter from you to come and I knew it must be something important so I came " he smiled and she forced out a smile .
" yes it is " she sighed .
" ok am listening" he stared into the water patiently waiting for her to speak .
" ok , getting married to the king next month " she quickly said with her eyes close .
" king ? , of which kingdom? " .
" my kingdom" she felt like crying.
" why are you doing this " he asked in a low voice .
" because... because,I want mama to get back her throne without any problem on the way , she had fought so much for it and I don't want her to stress herself for it again " she tried not to cry.
" I understand but you should have told me and I would have looked for a solution but I think it's too late now . so I accept another defeat" his voice was surprisingly calm.then she began to cry and he pulled her closer.
" I would be at the wedding" he said quietly and she raised her head from his shoulder.
" would you ? "
" yes ,that might be the last time I will be seeing you and I have to say a proper goodbye" she rested her head on his shoulder again.
" thank you " she felt tears streaming down her cheeks.
" for what ? '' he asked .
" for being there for me and Lucina , for helping and the greatest of all your understanding. am so grateful and feel indebted to you "
" you're not indebted to me . I only did what was right and what I should have done " he said absent minded and there was silence .
If only Medusa had given Lilith to him as his wife this wouldn't have happened, her excuses of wanting to care for her grandchildren well cause she believed , she never cared for their mother and it had led them to this but maybe he shouldn't blame her for all this .
He sighed and opened his mouth to say something but kept quiet , all he wanted to do now was savour this moment cause he would never be able to hold her again and the thought hurt .

The date of the wedding was finally fixed and invitation letters were sent to nobles , ma Laurette, the woman they lived with wasn't happy about this wedding of two beautiful young sisters getting married to 'a greedy old fool' like she calls him.
Lilith wasn't so excited about the wedding and sometimes felt like telling the king that she wasn't going to marry him again but couldn't.
Lucina didn't know what to feel at all , she will just accept anything and everything that happens.
The day of the wedding was slowly approaching .it made Lilith feel nervous and then it was the day if the wedding , she turned to face the crowd and her eyes scanned faces scared that he would not come .
Finally she spotted him standing and staring at nothing In particular, he felt her stare . raising up his head,he found her staring at him and he smiled at her and she returned the smile with efforts.
They left the room to where the party was held . she turned back to see if he was still there but he had gone .her heart ached badly ,tears threatened to spill and she trembled.
Lucina noticed it and moved to hold her when nobody was watching, " you can't cry " .
" am trying not to " she closed her eyes .
" take a deep breath in and out " she told her and when she tried it tears spilled from her eyes , Lucina helped her to quickly clean before people notice.
Lilith thought she was strong enough and was in control of everything but now she knew she was only lying to herself and now that she's here she can't go back .
