Princess Vittoria Olympia of the Romana Family of Olympus
I thought I would never come back to Asgard.
Not like this. Not with his last name in my mouth and a ring that hadn't happened yet sitting like a weight in my chest.
The jet was quiet. Too quiet. Just the low hum of the engines and the occasional crackle from the pilot. Campbell's security team was up front. Alexie and Mario had stayed in Olympus with Papa. It was just me and Campbell and three hours of air between us and whatever this was supposed to be.
He was sitting across from me.
Casual in a way that felt unfair. Dark jeans, a plain black shirt with the sleeves pushed up, and white sneakers that had probably never touched dirt in their life. His hair was still damp from the shower he'd taken before we left. No jacket. No tie. No crown prince armor. Just him.
The man who'd broken me at nineteen.
The man who was going to marry me at twenty-four.
